The house is beautiful. The communal area is perfect for a large group - a huge kitchen with plenty of counter space, a lovely oven, a comfortable sofa with views over the loch and an expandable dining table with room for everyone. The wood-burning stove was easy to use and made the house so cosy especially when it was cold and rainy outside.
We had some lovely hikes starting from Strachur but it's also an excellent base for many more adventures. We used the helpful guides in the house for some lovely walks, so apologies if the books got a little worn during our stay!
The host Amanda was incredibly attentive and helpful with solving issues and answering questions.
Watching the sun set over the loch without having to go outside was a wonderful experience.
It's worth noting that while there's a huge lovely master bedroom upstairs, both bathrooms (including en-suite) are downstairs. In addition, the fourth bed (sofa bed) is outside the master bedroom, ie walk-through to the master bedroom.

Excellent location - right opposite the Loch Fyne with easy access for paddleboarding.
Local store opposite too.
Creggans Inn close by for excellent food. Not to be missed.
Large well equipped kitchen. Nice separate area upstairs for older children.
The sitting room and dining area were too dark. there needs to be a reading light around the settee.
The dining table also needs better lighting - we played board games and certainly needed to see better.
