Courtyard By Marriott Titusville Kennedy Space Center

This is one of the nearest hotels to the Kennedy Space Center - you can even see a launch from the rooftop bar if you are there on a launch day. I'm surprised this is just a 'Courtyard' by Marriott - not in a higher Marriott category. We were upgraded to a lovely studio room which was as good as other 4/5 star rooms we've stayed in. Great pool area and a beautiful viewpoint overlooking the water and Cape Canaveral in the distance. We were very pleased with this pick.

The rooftop bar is pretty basic but it has a roof that pulls back so it is open-air. Serves good beer and food. When we went for supper there was a big table of Space X and Starlink workers eating pizza next to us, which made us feel part of the 'space' community.

The location is perfect for visiting nasa. The rooms are lovely and big and clean and love the space theme throughout the hotel

The staff are great. The front desk staff are lovely. Our server on the space bar is a lovely chap and he really made us feel welcome. All of the other staff members we encountered said hello and were really welcoming and pleasant. It might sound silly but this counts for a lot.

We have stayed here several times before and this is the first time we have noticed some things that we didn't like. The pool area wasn't clean and there are lots of bugs in the water. I get it, it's Florida, but if the pool attendant isn't busy (she wasn't) then maybe spending half an hour skimming the pool with a net would make a big difference. One of the cabanas was missing it's cover, some of the tables are really looking battered, one of the bar chairs is broken at the bottom - just bits that could be easily rectified and could make a difference. The most annoying was the broken access control point on the doors to reception from the outside patio area. We couldn't get back in and had to walk around the building to the pool side door. Last point - the sink was blocked in our room (505) and it does smell a bit. We mentioned it at reception but it wasn't fixed during our stay, being fair we weren't staying long and maybe maintenance is working a backlog.
