The price was absolutely smashing, and the location was great, just right above a convenience store. Plenty of food options around the area too, and grabfood could easily access options.
Location was closer to Bromo than Malang City so we got to sleep in a few more minutes and reach before the rest of tour.
Staff were nice to arrange massage options for us albeit we ended up paying twice the amount discussed before due to miscommunication. Masseurs were decent tho.
Nice lobby for chatting and eating, rooms were decently spacious.
There is no dedicated concierge or check in area to get the keys, had to holler down the hallway a couple times to get someone's attention. Note that they don't speak English either so get your driver or guide to communicate with them.
Area was noisy AF. I am not a light sleeper but, there were people (unsure if guests or staff) shouting and watching football in the hallway, and the doors are exposed on top for ventilation so I could hear everything. Traffic was noisy too so every motorbike and car zooming past seemed amplified, especially at night. If you're not a heavy sleeper, stay away. I couldn't sleep at all until my tour started at 2am.
Lack of ventilation, no fan nor air-conditioning. Clothes and towels couldn't dry in time as a result, and toilet was dirty in areas as a result of prolonged dampness.
Beds were tough and noisy, every movement resulted in some noise, assuming the frame was some old loose wooden planks.
