The room was clean and fresh — LVT flooring, granite sink, king bed, non-smoking, heavy curtains. Wall-mounted AC actually cooled. The bathtub has a real stopper, so I soaked after a long drive. Small fridge iced my water, and the TV works with the Wi-Fi password on the key card. Two security latches on the door. The parking lot is the real winner: I drive a Freightliner M2 with a 28-foot box, and I squeezed in alongside three semis. Well lit, with sixteen to twenty cameras recording. Staff offered me dog bags for my Coton de Tulear puppy, and I never heard the freight trains at night.

The exterior looks untouched since 1997 — potholes so deep I parked on the street to confirm the address. Bathtub enamel is chipped and black in spots, silicone has mold in three or four places, and the entry door weatherstrip is damaged with a visible gap. No shampoo, no poop stations, and the garbage cans were overflowing after two days. Wall outlet by the dining table has no power, one bedside lamp isn’t connected, and I had to use the bathroom GFI for my laptop. No breakfast, and the only food nearby was a Sunoco across the street — Aldi is 1.6 miles away in a neighborhood I wasn’t comfortable walking.
