The Nest Hotel & Restaurant

Extremely friendly staff, beautiful location, very nice bar/restaurant, and clean facilities.

The only thing I can say negative about this place was the comfort of the beds. This is personal preference, but the mattress and pillows were a bit to form for me.

Everything. We were walking the SDW. After a long, hilly day, the Nest was an oasis. Only a short distance downhill from the SDW path. It's a gastro pub with accommodation. The accommodation was AMAZING. One of the best hotels I've stayed in. Very luxurious, huge room and bed with an elegant bath that helped sooth the pains of walking. The food in the restaurant was one of the best. As a vegetarian, pub food can be mediocre. I was still thinking about the food the next day on my walk. And the sticky toffee pudding just melted in our mouths. I loved the fact that it's a family business. The parents and the children were working the floor at the dinner service. Makes it more special to support a small family run business. Highly recommend this place. We got a packed breakfast so that we could start our walk the next day early. But the place is soo nice, that we didn't leave until check out time ;) .

i did not like the property close at 1 am.

Breakfast and dinner were absolutely fine. Location was stunning in the middle of a Dark Sky National Park. Beautiful drive to get there and a great location to explore the South Downs.

Bed was small for a King Room, I didn't measure it but it felt more like a double. Room was very small as well, and the view out onto the car park wasn't ideal.
