10/10 Value with an Unbeatable Commute to Manhattan! If you are traveling to Manhattan every day, the location of this place is its absolute biggest advantage. It is only a 5-minute walk to the train that goes directly to the WTC, making the commute honestly faster and easier than coming from many parts of Brooklyn or Queens. The Newark neighborhood can seem a little sketchy at first glance, but I felt safe overall. For the price, you are getting a 10/10 deal. The room is small but comfortably fits two people. Just a heads-up on the bed: it’s an extendable trundle style, but the second mattress doesn't lift up on a frame, meaning one person will be sleeping down at floor level. The shared bathrooms were very clean, and the other neighbors were incredibly friendly and helpful. The only minor downside was the check-in process. The host forgot to send the check-in instructions at 2:00 PM as promised, so it took about 30 minutes to get the info while I was already waiting at the apartment. After that minor hiccup, everything was smooth. Overall, a really good experience and highly recommended for budget travelers

Harsh lighting in room #2, poor air circulation in bathroom, no antenna or internet connection to TV in room #2, kitchenette area very warm so sweaty to eat in

The property is ideally situated near Penn Station Newark and other nearby shopping areas. Close to local NJ transit buses as well.

Had a little funky smell in the common areas, especially the kitchen and mini living room. I couldn’t understand why the property manager couldn’t apply some air freshener or something. The smell was just horrible in the common area. Everywhere else, perfect. Room and bathrooms smell great and were well maintained.
