The garden is lovely, access to a kitchen was extremely useful, since the island it is on has a pretty minimal selection of restaurants in my price range. The bed was comfortable. The manager was very friendly, and even responded quickly when I mentioned the water pressure in the kitchen was poor (the fix was simply to change the water filter). Having air conditioning was a god sent!
I also enjoyed the moka pot for making coffee, and overall the kitchen was pretty sufficient, although a pizza pan or baking pan would have been helpful.
Unfortunately, the garden seems to attract insects, and some of the rooms don't benefit from the location of the air conditioner, so we left the windows open all the time. We reported that tiny pharaoh ants appeared in the bed room, which was a minor nuisance, and the kitchen window drapes attracted some damselflies one of the days of our visit, I also awoke to some mosquitoes buzzing in my ears a few of the mornings, but I didn't observe any bug bites, thankfully.
Several of the chairs provided in our room were not very supportive, and I am only 160 lbs. So, anyone heavier might have troubles using the chairs.
Although it's charming to be on a separate Venician island, you pretty much need a Vaporretto pass if you stay here.

It is a lovely apartment in a traditional historic Venetian house with period furniture, a wonderful garden and a perfect location. The view from outside the building is one of the best in the whole city. The host is extremely friendly and helpful. Transport by vaporetto is a few steps away.
We were lucky that we had the kitchen to ourselves but one may have to share the kitchen with the apartment next door.

Not on the main island but super easily accessible through the water boats public transport, as it’s right next to a station. It feels more private.
The property is quite quaint, with a really good garden and an amazing responsive host! They gave us two glasses of Proseccos to welcome us - which is always appreciated in Venice!
Air conditioner is in the living room instead of bedroom, so it may take some time to cool the bedroom.

The location was perfect. The hidden and private garden was gorgeous. The air conditioning was a life send given the 35C temperatures during our stay. The host - Dino was lovely and welcoming. It was also fun to be in a historic and traditional Venetian house, rather than something newly refurbished and sterile.
