This is an excellent area to stay in, and explore Venice from. The apartment is located in Giudecca, which is only a 5 minute trip on the water into Venice. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the main island, and that suited us perfectly. The apartment is very spacious, clean and comfortable. It has everything we needed. All the amenities worked perfectly. Our host was also wonderful and provided clear instructions on how best to get to the apartment, and other insights. Thank you!
This did not affect us, and we did not reduce our rating, and this is just an FYI. The apartment is quite old and is showing it's age in some areas. It has had some renovations/updates though, and is more than acceptable. It suited us very well, and the age of the apartment and the area it is located, may have added to it's charm.

We had a wonderful stay here. The location on Giudecca was perfect – peaceful but still close to shops, bars, and easy transport links into the heart of Venice. The apartment had everything we needed, including a well-equipped kitchen for the nights we felt like cooking at home. Comfortable, convenient, and a great base for exploring Venice. We would happily stay again.
