Very bad experience at the property and with the host. I do not recommend at all.

Location

I can’t begin to describe the displeasure I had with the experience at this accomodation and with the host - I paid for three nights however only stayed one night and found alternative accomodation for my remaining stay at Venice. I would strongly recommend reading the following before deciding whether to book. Elena (the host) was not welcoming at all. It seemed as though we were an inconvenience when arriving at the accomodation, keeping in mind we were late due to unforeseen delays from trains which I clearly communicated to Elena as it was happening. As anyone would reasonably expect, if there are any issues with the accommodation you would notify the host. After checking in, we noticed that the bedroom had the facilities for AC (we checked in during the heatwave across Europe); however, it would not turn on. I messaged Elena to let her know it was not working, to which she said we would need to wait for the AC from the living area to circulate into the bedroom. She did not let us know prior that the AC in the bedroom did not work. I also let her know that the shower had hair on the walls and floor, the water pressure from the shower was weak (the top shower head did not work properly), and the hot water did not work with the top shower head (it also took around 10-15 minutes to turn on). The conversation I had with Elena following was shocking to say the least. She advised that the water pressure was low due to being on the third floor and that a lot of residents were also having showers as it is summer. She offered to get someone to clean the bathroom, otherwise we can leave the property and she would refund for the last two nights. I could tell that she was frustrated with my complaints.

The location was excellent. Close to San Marco square and restaurants/bars

Stairs were difficult to manage with suitcases. Facilities in the apartment were limited. Even lacked a kettle and tea/coffee facilities. Aircon was limited to eating area only and did not cool the bedroom.
