Lovely family-run property on Isla del Sol, offering beautiful views of the lake. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful, providing us with useful information and recommendations for our stay. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The property is conveniently located just a short walk from Yumani’s main street, where you’ll find plenty of restaurants and a few small general stores. It’s also an excellent starting point for hikes to either Templo del Sol or the northern side of the island. Breakfast was simple and light, but a lovely way to start the day!
I wouldn’t fault the property for any of these points, as I think they’re simply part of the experience of staying on the island, but they’re worth mentioning. We should have followed the host’s recommendation to leave some of our luggage in Copacabana, as the property is about a 20-minute walk from the port where the boat drops you off. The hike is steep, and we definitely struggled with our heavy backpacks!
There’s no heating in the rooms, so it can get quite cold. However, plenty of blankets are provided, and we still slept very comfortably. Just make sure to bring plenty of warm layers! The Wi-Fi wasn’t great in the room, although it worked reasonably well in the breakfast area. Overall, Isla del Sol is a place to truly disconnect, so don’t expect great internet or mobile signal.

We had a lovely stay at Wara Uta Lodge. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, and were always happy to answer our questions about the boats and the route to the north of the island.
Our room was beautiful and comfortable, and we really enjoyed the delicious breakfast with a stunning view over the lake.
The location is ideal, close to the harbour and within walking distance of several restaurants. A lovely place to stay when visiting Isla del Sol!

Good location with a lot of options for restaurants around. It’s a bit of a climb to get there but that’s just the nature of the island. However less than 5 minutes walk away it’s a beautiful view across the lake. And our room had a wonderful view too. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was fresh and nice. The room was cosy and had plenty of blankets incase the night was cold.
Not much to fault although we noticed a water leak in the bathroom from behind the toilet so the floor was always a bit wet. Hopefully that was just fresh water.
