Coackroach-infested apartment only made up for nice pictures and zero standards for hygiene and comfort

The house is infested with cockroaches. We had them everywhere in our apartment coming through holes in the walls and floor. When we found them between our baby son’s toys in the first night we decided we need to leave asap. I raised the issue with the landlord but they told me it’s normal in Sydney, nothing you can do about it and it’s no reason to check out early so I had to pay the full amount even though we left after 2/7 nights and with booking “trying” to mediate. Note: We moved to a small hotel in the same area and didn’t see any cockroaches for the remaining stay so proper pest control does make a difference. Also, the whole facility hasn’t been cleaned in ages, all doors open 24/7, loads of spiders in the stairway, no aircon and the windows would only open inches (if you dare to do so considering the masses of spiderwebs on the outside of the house) so inside the apartment it was easily 5-10 degrees C warmer than outside. Overall the whole thing has only been renovated to have nice pictures and no one cares ever since. Also zero support or care about the guests, so please go and find yourself something better.

Not value for money, Bad smell in toilet and seems to be let or sublet to families or home workers..

Close to family living in the area

Asked for a payment invoice..didnt get it, asked for slightly early check in, did not get it, asked for a little later check out after a 7 day and $1900 stay and you guessed it, didnt get it. We were not given any personal feedback or emails despite many sent...like dealing with a bot...and no there is no air condition system as such....

Amazing

The place in general was just amazing, 10/10 loved the area and apartment

No aircon, was only an issue as it was 36 degree days but lots of fans in the place so very thankful for that :)

It was a place to stay but definitely not a home away from home.

It was clean and easy check in

The washer dryer is not working properly. The clothes always ends up wet at the bottom after the drying cycle. The bathroom door cannot be locked either.

Even better than the photos suggest and great value for money.

Fabulous spacious layout for a one bedroom apartment. Well appointed. comfiest bed and pillows thank you! Very quiet and secure.

No aircon which means I would struggle if it was summer! They do have fans but I need arctic cold air in the Aussie heat.

No keys to worry about. Easy to find, great location - close to the bus stop. Great communication between the host. Neat and tidy apartment. Desk was great when travelling for work.

Enjoyable stay, where everything went smoothly.

Clean and spacious. Good appliances. No road noise. Quiet at night.

Bathroom was too small. Toilet too close to shower (hard to sit down). Extractor fan filter was very greasy (grease dripped from it on to cooktop). No dish cloth (but lots of tea towels).

good location for where we needed to be on the weekend

there was no heating, since it’s coming into winter it wasn’t nice at all. there were also cockroaches in our bed. we have photographic evidence

Disappointing considering the money we paid

location

we were in the ground floor, windows were not locked and we did not know how to lock them. A police raid at the apartment above us was terrifying.

not close to cafes. no air conditioning. no screens on windows. no on-site parking. German cockroaches sighted. bathroom drains had rotten egg smell, particularly noticeable at night time

Superb

Location, kitchen, beds comfy, shower pressure good, clean. Parking easy in the street. Good Cafe around the corner. So close to everything we needed.

Nothing really. Have a few suggestions to get a 10. Some hooks on the back of the doors for towels, some paper towel or serviettes, just a couple more dishwasher tablets, maybe a box of tissues. But really a great stay.

Lovely Mulwaree Apartments

The apartment was spotlessly clean, modern. Very comfortable bed.

We loved everything, except we could have done with a fan in the living area as it was very hot. The bedroom was lovely with the overhead fan.

Superb

Fantastic location close to Randwick, the SCG and Allianz Stadium. Light rail is only a very short walk away. The apartment was clean. It has a smart TV good wifi and was a perfect size for 2 people. Easy to access by a key code.

Only one small problem was that the windows rattled when it was windy otherwise it was great.
