We had an 'apartment' attached to this hotel, which was large, clean, and generally fine which let us spread ourselves out for a few days. The beds were comfortable and the room cleaned each day (although we were never sure if they changed the towels or not). It was a 10 minute walk to the centre of the town which is a lovely place to look around, although tourists descend in droves during the daytime of summer season, whatever the weather.
Our room's shower was rather basic and tended to flood the bathroom (due to the shower cubicle design); the room smelled of damp (it rained much of the time we were there) and was dark with very few windows, much better designed for hot weather than cool wet weather. Uber drivers used the area outside to rev their engines and wait for customers from around 9pm, so sometimes the fumes entered the room; we had to go out several times to ask them to move or be quiet. The facilities were a bit basic: the sink was cracked, the tap loose, no coffee in the room, just a kettle which had to be put on the floor to reach a power socket; we had a microwave, but when I went to reception to request a plate to heat food up on the receptionist (they are only there in the afternoon and early evening) apologetically informed me that I was not allowed one. The breakfast room is small with limited tables and the breakfast was adequate (nothing hot, apart from tea/coffee in flasks) rather than amazing. We encountered vicious, large stray dogs in the area of the hotel after dark.
