Staff were very friendly and always willing to help. The room was comfortable and actually pretty big. The hotel is in a central location so it doesn't take long to get to any of the major landmarks. Really loved that they had breakfast included as that makes it a lot easier when traveling with small children.
There is a rooster living nearby (one of the neighbors?) and it does its cock-a-doodle-doo at all hours, not just first thing in the morning. That was probably the primary problem. The hotel is centrally located but that also means it isn't really near anything because it's in the middle of all the places you want to be. It takes a while to get there from the train station and if you are walking it is all uphill (welcome to Portugal in general). Breakfast didn't have a lot of hot options, just the typical scrambled eggs and then some little sausages.

Location, parking, pet friendly.
Accommodation itself was charmless, uncomfortable and with a persistent smell of sewage coming from the bathroom.
