Location was great. Bathrooms need attention- shower heads are awful- time for upgrade. Toilet in front bedroom had to remove cover to flush. Knives in block had food on them. Broken tiles in kitchen- might need addressing. Pool house AC wasn’t enough for hot days- wouldn’t advise during super hot months. Bathroom in pool house was very nice. Heated pool was a nice bonus & size was fantastic!

Great property with plenty of space for grown up sons. Pool cabana was a plus for extra space! Easily walk to all that Key West has to offer! Very quiet neighborhood and comfortable home.

We had such an amazing weekend at this cute little cottage! We were celebrating a bachelorette party and this house was perfect for us! Nice and clean, well stocked, and slept all of us comfortably. The staff was very accommodating and clear with our instructions for check in & check out. The house was close enough that we could walk to most of the restaurants and bars that we wanted to see! The pool was a great size and so nice for the hot Florida weekend! All in all it really was a great weekend!!

Rental process was smooth and the property was very nice. We did find though that it was lacking a few basic kitchen essentials that should have been stocked automatically, so that was a bit dissapointing.

Everything about this house was perfect. Perfect location, beautiful home, pool and close to Duval St. Driveway for parking and the best was the separate cottage. It was perfect for privacy for multiple guests. I would definitely recommend this property. Sooo glad we chose this location and home. Brian our property host was so attentive and helpful. On a scale of 1-10 this was a 15!

Great place and so close to everything. Very clean! It was nice that every bedroom had its own bathroom. The additional cottage was very nice as well! We would stay here again.

We loved the location! They decor was quaint and very clean. Very comfortable linens and well stocked kitchen supplies. The owner was very responsive with our questions. We loved the pool and the neighborhood was mostly quiet except for the Rooster Crows at 4am. LOL! Best VRBO stay ever!
We only have a few recommendations:
Rooster deterrent and darkening drapes for all bedrooms and lamps in the cabana.

This is a pristine historic home that gives you an authentic Key West experience right off Duval. The home is located on the “quieter” end of the street, a good strategic choice for families: you are walking distance to everything but a world away from the craziness. The property manager was a true professional and the house was well stocked. This is the only house on the street that has off-street parking. If you happen to have dogs, it is also on the same block as the best patches of grass on the entire island (at the government building of course).

Great little house with a bonus guest house. Great location between Duval and Simonton. Walking distance to CVS, scooter rentals and many restaurants. The pool was really nice to have and was very peaceful in the back area. The property manager was great with communication and instructions. Would definitely stay here again.

Great property - loved the pool and private casita. Kitchen needs a few more cooking utensils / cookware to make a proper meal. Usually people will leave spices (did have salt and pepper)...but not here. Be sure to bring your own, including coffee. All in all we made do and had a great time. Would definitely stay there again.

This property was a half of a block from Duval Street. Everything was right at your fingertips. The house was very spacious and beautiful. The property manager responded very quick and he was very welcoming. The pool was warm and big and the backyard was gorgeous! There was also an outside cottage with a King bed. The only thing was that the outside cottage was sprayed heavily with a disinfectant maybe to the mattress that may be sensitive to people with allergies and asthma.

My family and I(party of 4) rented the property in late December and found it to be one of the best vacations that we have had. This was primarily due to the location, heated pool and the extremely responsive property management company. The home was spotless and had all the amenities of home. If you ever consider this property, don't even question it - book it!

My wife and I brought our 3 adult children (+ 1 significant other) to Tropical Retreat for 4 days as a Christmas getaway gift. Absolutely everything was perfect. House has so much Key West charm and character and the location is simply perfect. House was super clean, pool was great, and there were plenty of beach towels, linens, etc. No complaint’s whatsoever. We had a great time reconnecting with the kids and enjoying all things Key West. Will definitely consider staying here again on our next trip.

This home is so lovely I have decided to paint one of my bedrooms the same color as the master suite. Nice quiet part of key west but just a short walk to everywhere you want to go. Would totally recommend and hope to retyto this same house again soon

We loved this house for our family vacation. I was worried that keeping the house at 72* would be too warm for us to comfortably sleep, but the fans made it quite chilly! Walking to distance to pretty much everything and lots of room for my family, parents in law, and my dad. The main house bathrooms are oddly shaped and it is an older home. But overall, we loved it!

2nd couples trip to KW, 1st time at this location. Perfect for three couples. Pool was a huge plus. Location was 1/2 block off Duval Street and close to everything. Secured parking for 1 vehicle. Pack light due to washer/dryer on premises. Very clean and well decorated.

Stayed here for a birthday trip with 7 girls and it was great! While the house is off duval, it’s the quieter end so we had to Uber to the bars since it was too hot to walk. The backyard pool is awesome and Brian, the property manager, was great to work with and patiently answered all my random questions. Overall a great trip and spot!
