About this house rental

Nestled in Ocean Beach, this lovely house for $1,221 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Firefly Haven is a quintessential Fire Island beach house located in Ocean Beach right near the border of the village of Seaview. We are adding a 10' by 18' pool for this summer. The spacious house offers 4 BRs, which give you plenty of space for the entire family to come and have a most memorable vacation. Newly renovated full bathroom a marble large walk-in shower. We have also updated the back porch to add a coffee bar / beverage area with a with a undercounter beverage fridge and undercounter ice maker. The house is perfectly situated one block from the pristine barrier beaches and one block from "downtown." No need to schlep along everything you own; the house comes loaded with a coffee bar, bicycles, beach chairs, umbrellas, a wagon, fully stocked kitchen, a grill, outdoor dining area and of course linens, towels, and supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The home stays nice and cool with the mini split units in all rooms. The large back deck is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee, a midday break from the beach or an evening BBQ with some cocktails and a game of cornhole. After a sun-filled day at the beach you can relax with a refreshing outdoor shower before you hit the town. The living room is comfortable and inviting with a large smart TV that offers Amazon Prime TV, Netflix, Disney+, and DirectTV Streaming for network and cable channels (high speed WiFi). While you settle in to watch a movie, the kids can watch their own shows in the large enclosed front porch, which has a separate TV with all the same streaming services. Firefly Haven is located right in the middle of everywhere you’ll want to be. Being just steps to the beach and town make it the perfect location. The downtown area offers, restaurants, markets, a bakery, ice cream and sweet shops, a playground, boutiques, variety and souvenir stores, pizza parlors, and plenty of nightlife. Great day trips can be taken from our town either by hoping on the water taxi to head to a destination or walking through the various towns – both are very enjoyable options. You can hike to the Fire Island Lighthouse for the day or go in the opposite direction to visit the Sunken Forest. One of the best things about Fire Island is that there are no cars! Kids can ride their bikes or walk around without the fear of car traffic nagging at you. Please Note: Rental weeks run from Monday to Sunday. Maryann & her husband were very accommodating. Love the fact that we didn’t have to lug all the essentials to the house. All bathroom necessities as well as all the basic kitchen soft goods were provided. Rented for 2 weeks and really enjoyed our stay. House was always cool and it was just a short walk to the Ocean. Loved the fact that the house is right on the border of Seaview where there are few rules & regulations. Ocean Beach has way too many silly regulations.

What a wonderful week we just spent in ocean beach great food and family and the house was beautiful 4bedroom enough to sleep us all and the surprise was the front porch with two pop up singles and a couch to pull out the room was like a small suite the owner was super and was always available when needed if your looking for a perfect house between the town and ocean look no more this is it for you will not regret it

My Family and I spent a week on Fire Island, and had a great time. The house we rented had all the amenities, and our host was very informative. We were close to town, and the beach, so had the best of both. I would highly recommend staying here.

The house is beautiful, easy to access both the beach and the shops/restaurants, and Maryann was always responsive to my questions. We had such a wonderful visit, the weather was a bit rough but obviously out of our control, but otherwise the property had everything we needed for our trip to FI. We were discussing on the ferry back home about when we can all come back!

We had a great time at this property!. The deck space is great place to hang out outside and enjoy the weather. House very close to the Main Street. The hosts very communicative and informative. We had a great conversation before arriving. Would recommend any group to stay here, you’ll have a great time!

The hosts took great pride in making this sweet and cozy home a beach get-away . At the peak guest time we used all 11 beds and everyone slept well and comfortably. All bedrooms are air conditioned; all four formal bedrooms have room darkening shades. The outdoor dining and entertaining space was perfect for a BBQ. Conveniently located between Seaview and Ocean Beach, both the beach options were ample, and the ferry options were also great. Our family and friends truly enjoyed visiting us at the FireFly Haven cottage and were equally impressed with all the furnishings, games, kitchen gadgets, ample supply of coffee, bikes and beach chair furnishings. Bravo to Maryann and John. Thank you!

Our family had a great stay. House was clean and cool and furnished with new towels, sheets and dishes. Everything was just perfect. Owners were responsive and helpful. We’ve rented a lot of houses on Fire Island over the past decade, and this rental is by far our favorite in Ocean Beach. We will definitely be staying here again!
