Nestled in Bluewater, this charming cottage for $196 per night is a great choice for your next break. Located on the Heritage Trail in historic old Bayfield, Birdsong offers you and your family the comforts of home without the hustle and bustle of big-city life. After a relaxing sleep, wake up in the morning and enjoy your coffee on the private deck as the local bird population serenades you with their "birdsong". A short walk to most attractions in town, including Historic Main Street, Pioneer Park, with its stunning sunsets, and the beaches adjacent to the marina and pier. The house comfortably sleeps six and charms with historical touches throughout from its large harvest dining table, local barn-beam bench and pieces from the renowned Imperial Furniture Company of Stratford. Have Birdsong be your base for a getaway of exploring the treasures of Huron County and the Bluewater area, or just relaxing with a book from the well-appointed bookshelf selections. INSIDE Main floor sitting room with gas fireplace Cooking is a joy in the fully equipped kitchen with gas stove and everything you need to prepare your favorite dishes. Family Room great for games or movie night! TV has a Firestick so you can login to your own Netflix/PrimeVideo/Disney account It's always handy to have laundry facilities with washer/dryer. OUTSIDE Out back you'll appreciate the huge yard for games Curl up with a good book or those treasured holiday naps under the trees! Personally I love the back deck where I can chat the afternoon away. You'll enjoy BBQ favorites on the back patio at a nice proper dining table. Share laughter and stories around the campfire at night - rare to have a firepit in the village! NOTE: I expect we will have more beach this Summer 2023, depending on lake levels and what the lake pushes up. There are lake accesses all along Tuyll Street which is a great adventure to find your favorite! And you can walk 2 min to the Main Beach. The lakebed can be sandy or stoney depending on what the lake gives you that day. But it sure is fun to try to find the ever changing sandbars. Generally you will find sand 3ft out. It's fun to go stone collecting - Lake Huron is a geologists paradise! Just bring some water shoes. The nice thing is, it's not weedy or slimy at all. If you are looking for a lovely, comfortable, beautifully appointed Cottage for your Bayfield stay, this is it! Just steps from the beach or shopping on the Main Street, This home is perfect for a girls weekend or family vacation. Stop looking and book it- you won’t be disappointed!

We chose to rent this property because it was close to our relatives in the area, it had enough sleeping capacity for our family (3 bedrooms), and it was in the beautiful town of Bayfield. We had driven past Bayfield before but never spent time in it. The house exceeded expectations! It was beautiful inside. The bedrooms were cozy, the kitchen was fully stocked with dishware and cookware, and the sitting areas were large and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting with family, talking and watching TV and playing video games, and eating in the dining room and kitchen areas. We kept our bikes and one of our cars in the garage, and parked another car outside. We had a great time exploring the town. It had nice parks (one overlooking the lake) and a trail along a a beautiful river, as well as a great pier along the channel. The downtown area had lots of great shops. We checked out clothing and other items, got ice cream and coffee. We had an amazing time!

We had a such a relaxing & enjoyable time. The cottage was very spacious & had lots of room outside for our little dog to run. Very clean & the bed was so comfortable.The only downside was the only way to get access to regular TV was to log into your own account. Jennifer was so amazing. She kept in contact with us before & during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. Thanks for the wonderful experience! Angie, Bill & Tony

We were 3 couples and it was prefect size for us. Great location to town. We walked everywhere. Bayfield is a cute town. Our host was very easy to reach and communicate with. Thank you for a great quick getaway.

My family and I had a great time in Bayfield and surrounding area. Our holiday was exactly what we needed and the BirdSong property had everything we needed for a relaxing and wonderful visit to the area. Our cottage was very clean and had all the amenities you need. Jennifer and the Cottage Stays staff were very helpful throughout our entire booking, stay and departure. We loved our stay at Birdsong! Very large, well-appointed rooms, lots of light and a private back deck. About two blocks to walk to Main street shops or the lake/marina. So happy that it was pet-friendly. My little dog had the best post-Covid vacation!

We enjoyed our stay at Birdsong. What drew us to this lovely cottage was its location, charm and amenities. It's perfectly situated on a quiet street and within walking distance to most everything in the town. Originally built in 1929, it has immense character that has been preserved through recent (I'm guessing) renovations that bring the home up to standard in terms of everyting you would expect as far as amenities. The host, Jennifer, was also very attentive in terms of inquiries and managing our stay. Kudos!

The property was impressive not only aesthetically but also by how well stocked it was. The only thing we lacked now and then were larger serving platters. This is our first experience of having to pay for towels and linens. Everywhere else they have been included in the price. There was also some confusion on separate charges from another website (Home Away) which led us to believe that our credit card had been used fraudulently. I think it would be best to spell that out in the contract, so that there aren't any misunderstandings. The outside BBQ would have been better placed on the upper deck instead of below the deck. These are minor in our estimation and we had an overall excellent stay
