There is private access a 2-minute walk away. And there are accesses all along this road. After a beautiful day in cottage country, gather around the firepit for storytelling, marshmallow roasting, and stargazing. NOTE: Approx. 60 stairs to the Lake. The lakebed can be sandy or stoney depending on what the lake gives you that day. But it sure is fun to try to find the ever changing sandbars. Generally you will find sand 3ft out. It's fun to go stone collecting - Lake Huron is a geologists paradise! Just bring some water shoes. The nice thing is, it's not weedy or slimy at all. Wander downtown and find your new favorite cafe, and be sure to save a day to explore Bayfield's wineries and breweries. Just a few minutes' away is River Road Brewing, where you can sample craft beers right on the farm. Visit during the off-season to catch favorite annual events like VetteFest or for a girl's getaway weekend—we're happy to suggest our favorite local spas, wineries and breweries, shops, and yoga classes.
