The Space: Quantum Field is located in a rural township in Toolangi, near Yarra Valley Dairy. Yarra Valley Grand Hotel and Wirrawilla Rainforest Walk are just approximately 21 minutes from the town of Healesville. A comfortable accommodation with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and functional bathroom facilities. The bathroom follows ecologically sustainable principles, including an eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin, and shower (gas-heated for hot showers). It focuses on satisfying people's needs with natural resources and processes to save water by using eco-friendly toilets to save the environment. Guest Access: Guests will have full access to the tiny house and its surrounding areas, except for the land host's private residence and shed. - There may be other guests on the property as we also accommodate campers The Neighborhood: Quantum Field sits in a lovely town located along the Healesville-Kinglake road surrounded by enchanted forests, friendly locals, delectable restaurants, and the best wineries in the region. Just an hour's drive from Melbourne, passing through charming towns like Christmas Hills, Dixons Creek, and Castella. Right now the blueberry farms are open for u-pick season. There’s Blue Vixen, about 800m towards Toolangi township, with a cafe too and the best ice cream. They have also roast coffee beans. (Jacqui will look after you.) There’s also Castella Blueberries, about 3 km in the other direction towards Kinglake. Around Kinglake - 15 minutes drive away - there are also several blueberry farms. Our local recommendation: Food Scene - Yarra Valley Dairy produces delicious fresh artisan cheese in Yarra Valley. - Yarra Valley Grand Hotel offers the best quality dining, local wines, and live music every weekend. - The YG Spot is a popular resto-bar where you can casually chat, dine, and drink with family and friends. - Watts River Brewing is a family-owned brewery that's passionate about crafting fresh and locally-made beer. Sightseeing - The Kalatha Giant is one of the largest and oldest trees standing 65 meters tall and 14 meters in girth. - Wirrawilla Rainforest Walk is a popular attraction for hiking and brisk walking activities in Yarra Valley. Shopping - IGA is a supermarket in Yarra Glen where you can buy your essential necessities. Getting Around: By car: - 1hr 20 mins drive from Melbourne By public transport: Take the train to Lilydale Railway Station and then take bus 685 (about 11 stops, 18mins) and alight at Ayres Rd/Maroondah Hwy (Healesville). From Healesville, it will take another 30mins by taxi to get to our property. We can also arrange pick up/drop you off at Healesville for an additional fee and prior arrangement with land host.
