North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here.

Whether you're here for festival season, a family trip, or simply to eat your way through the city, the layout and location do the work.
Living space
Natural light moves through the main living areas throughout the day, and the ceiling fans keep things comfortable alongside central air conditioning. A dedicated workspace - set in a room with its own door - handles remote work, and fast WiFi keeps everyone connected. The HDTV is ready for downtime, and the in-unit washer and dryer, iron, and cleaning products make longer stays easy to manage.
Sleeping arrangements
Three bedrooms are set up for restful nights, with soft bed linens, room-darkening shades, and central air conditioning. Clothing storage includes a walk-in closet and additional closet space, so there's room to properly settle in. Hangers and all the essentials are provided throughout.
Kitchen & dining
The kitchen is fully stocked for real cooking - a Frigidaire refrigerator, GE electric stove, GE single oven, microwave, and dishwasher cover the basics, alongside a drip coffee maker, toaster, baking sheet, pots and pans, dishes, and silverware. Whether it's a morning coffee before heading out or a full meal at the dining table, the setup is there for you.
Bathrooms
Two full bathrooms are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel, hot water, and a hair dryer. Towels and toilet paper are included, and a bathtub is available in addition to the shower.
Outdoor space
The fully fenced backyard is a genuine retreat - a private above-ground pool is available all year, open 24 hours, and comes with pool toys. A patio offers a spot to sit outside the pool. The balcony adds another outdoor option when you want fresh air without going downstairs. Free street parking is available right outside.
Family & extras
Families traveling with little ones can request a pack 'n play/travel crib and a folding high chair - both available upon request. Babysitter recommendations are also on hand. Exterior security cameras are in place at the front of the property, and the home is equipped with a smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit. Self check-in is available via smart lock.

The Canal Streetcar stop is steps away, connecting you directly to the French Quarter, Superdome, Bourbon Street, and beyond. City Park, Trader Joe's, local cafés, and po'boy shops are all within easy reach. During Mardi Gras, the Endymion parade route runs right outside - and the Lafitte Greenway is nearby for biking or a morning walk.

Overall we had a decent experience here. There were a couple of issues like the couch leg being broken and the pool being dirty but the host got this taken care of relatively quickly (within a day). I had some trouble getting ahold of someone to address these concerns. I wish we would have brought additional towels for the pool. The neighborhood was not the greatest but we didn’t have any issues.

Myself and three others stayed and this property and it is exactly as the listing shows! Uber/Lyfts were at the property under 10 minutes, usually within 5 and it was a quick drive to the French Quarter. I highly recommend this location!

Excellent communication! Home was a clean 3bd 2bth. However, it had the bare minimum. Bedrooms consisted of a bed and a "nightstand". No dresser or anywhere to put your suitcase/belongings...had to have everything on the floor. Living room had limited sitting. Our family of 5 could not relax together and watch tv. Kitchen supplies were very limited. No can opener, cutting knives, mixing bowls etc. What supplies they did have...most of them had seen better days (wobblily pans, chipped plates and bowls) Coffee maker did not work properly and dishwasher did not work at all. The neighborhood was not the best. There was a vacant lot/parking lot next to the home that had several broken down cars. One reason we chose this home was for the driveway. I did not want to be looking for parking. However, there was no driveway at the home as described on their listing.Overall, our experience was okay.
