Or head West from here and enjoy a spot of crab lining on Blakeney Quay, where you can also take a seasonal boat trip out to see the seals. In fact, you will find the coastline littered with pretty seaside towns and villages boasting salt and clay marshes, picturesque quays and a mix of sand and shingle beaches.

History buffs will be delighted to find Felbrigg Hall, the Blickling, Holkham, Houghton and Sandringham Estates along with North Norfolk Railway, the Thursford, with its famous Christmas Spectacular, and the Muckleburgh collection along with a host of small, independent museums all within easy reach. Nature lovers will enjoy RSPB Cley Marshes, Pensthorpe Nature Reserve and Sheringham Park which are all close by too.
