About this house rental
The property was part of a land grant given to Jonathan Clark for his Revoluntionary War service. Three of the remaining original buildings on the property date from 1847 - the Main house (with the addition of the ell at the rear of the house and the addition of weather boarding to just prior to 1850); the Smokehouse; and the Livestock barn. The Large Mule barn was built circa 1903 to accommodate a large mule trading business.
Bruce, the owner who has brought this place back to life and opened it up to visitors, loves this farmstead. It is not a slick vacation rental, it's peace and nature and history. It's an ideal place to breathe deeply and slow down.
