A group of us stayed for 21 days. House is idyllic and expertly stocked. You will truly want for nothing. Proximity to horse show is ideal with a very short 3 minute drive. Hosts are gracious and answered any questions that we immediately. Cherry trees full of cherries right outside your door. Just a beautiful place so close to everything but still feels like a slice of paradise.

Joy is the greatest host we have ever had. Her home is better than the pictures, which are amazing. It is clean, charming and peaceful. The home has everything you need plus she welcomes you with some local treats. Her recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area are spot on. She is easy to get a hold of and as sweet as pie. I can't wait to return.

Joy is a five-star host with a five-star property! If I was only allowed to use one word overall for my review it would hands down be PERFECTION! Checking in and checking out was smooth and seamless! My better half and I decided to go on an end of summer getaway in the Traverse City area over Labor Day weekend. The house has a great yard with many outdoor amenities such as a grill, dining set and fire pit! When we walked in the door, I had to struggle to catch my breath! The home is so gorgeous and impeccably clean! It had everything we needed and more! Joy did not miss a beat, in fact, she goes over and above! Our two small dogs were welcome to stay as well and as many of you know, our dogs are our family so that is an amazing bonus! Joy had the water bowl filled and a jar full of treats when we arrrived! They were so happy! She also provided delicious treats for us humans from local vendors which was so generous! We felt so comfortable and at home during our stay. The house is located in the country surrounded by farmlands and orchards where it is so beautiful, peaceful and safe yet so close to any adventure you may want to take! Joy had a list of recommended places nearby available. There are farm stands galore with local products and homemade goods! We enjoyed the nearby Turtle Creek Casino, several wineries, restaurants, shopping and boating in the nearby lakes. We rented a boat for a day and launched at the nearby Torch River which connects to Torch Lake, Lake Skegemog and Elk Lake. We visited Elk Rapids from Elk Lake/River where they have a community dock. Elk Rapids is a quaint village with cute little shops and restaurants. We walked through and visited the Grand Traverse Bay while there. It was such a blast and I cannot wait to go back! If you have the pleasure of staying at this property, you won't be disappointed! Joy, thank you so much again for being such a wonderul host and sharing your beautiful home, we absolutely loved it!

My mom and I really enjoyed our stay in Joy’s 2 bedroom newly renovated house. Joy had thought of everything we could possibly need. The beds were super comfortable, the house was immaculately clean, and had a Roku tv and a washer and dryer. The location was perfect for the show grounds, only 5 minutes away which was a huge bonus. The sunsets were beautiful and the overall surroundings were very relaxing after long days at the horse show. We would definitely come back to stay! Our dog, Buddy, was also welcome which is a huge bonus.

Outstanding Property Close to Flintfields!!
Outstanding Property Close to Flintfields!!
My daughter and I just completed an extended stay at Joy’s incredible property just outside of Traverse City. The setting is idyllic; serene, safe and beautiful. I cannot say enough nice things about the house! It’s newly renovated and beautifully decorated. Also, Joy included many thoughtful and helpful touches throughout the house (in the kitchen, bath, snacks…even dog treats!). I would love the opportunity to rent this property again.
