About this house rental

Nestled in Salt Lake City, this lovely house for $159 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Enjoy peace and tranquility inside our vintage Redbrick Bungalow as you are nestled only a couple minutes away from Downtown SLC. Built in 1941 this gem has proven the test of time. You will be within walking distance of groceries, gas stations, fast food, parks, the Utah state Fairgrounds, and even downtown (a 10-15 minute walk). By car you can reach the airport in about 8-10 minutes, ski resorts or just about anywhere in the Salt Lake Valley in 15-30 minutes. This is the best location! PLEASE READ ALL DESCRIPTIONS SO YOU ARE NOT DISAPPOINTED ABOUT SOMETHING THAT WE CLEARLY EXPLAINED. THANK YOU! We have owned this space for years and recently worked hard to update and improve it to be the most comfortable place we could offer. With approximately 2200sqft there is tons of space for big families or groups. You won't feel crammed! There are 2 big bedrooms upstairs and 2 more bedrooms downstairs. Our living room upstairs is huge and the game room downstairs is ready for fun entertainment. Please note that this is an older house and the stairs to the basement are steep! Not suitable for those who may struggle using stairs and babies/toddlers. We have gigabit internet! Phones over wifi get from 85-250 Mbps, a laptop should get 200-500 Mbps, and if you hard wire into the router expect very close to 1000mbps. This internet ROCKS! You can do any sort of online work from here. For the past several years, Utah has been in a severe drought. We had to reduce water consumption and our grass and landscaping regrettably suffered. Please don't expect to have a nice outdoor, grassy space. With record snow levels this year, we hope to improve the outdoor situation. Thanks for your patience! For guests who wish to stay longer than 21 days an additional $150 cleaning fee plus a $200 refundable damage deposit will be added after booking. NO SMOKING/VAPING on the premisses or in the house. Due to owners allergies, no pets allowed. The driveway on the north side, facing the church, is all available for your use. It is big enough to park several vehicles. You may also park on the street. We do not live on site or close by so you will have the place to yourselves. We are available via text, call, or Airbnb messaging at any time. We love how centrally located this place is. It is so easy to get to most things in the Salt Lake Valley from here. Nearby we have a biking trail which follows the Jordan river, several parks and libraries, a grocery store just a block away, all sorts of shopping down town which is very close and easy to get to (about 12 blocks). The airport is about 8 minutes away (cheaper Uber rides). Freeway access is also good with I-15 and I-80 intersecting just a mile away and ramps to either one just as close. The neighborhood is quiet without being inaccessible. We are not on main roads, but we are only 1 block away from main roads in two different directions. For nature lovers there are 7 beautiful canyons in the valley with plenty of opportunities for hiking, biking, camping, skiing, bird watching, picnicking, and relaxing. A car is best in SLC. That said a bicycle is also absolutely a great mode of transportation in this area. There are so many places you can get to on a short bike ride. If you have any problems, please don't hesitate to let us know. We would rather get a call in the middle of the night and make sure you are taken care of than get a bad review. Our grass and yard have suffered because Utah has been in a drought for the past several years. We hope to update the yard so it is appealing. In the meantime, there are some parks nearby and the church across the street that have nice grass if you need to feel grass between your toes. We typically provide enough toilet paper and paper towels for the duration of your stay. If you need more than what we supply, it is your responsibility to purchase what you need. There is a grocery store just 1 block north for your convenience. Please note, due to owner's allergies, no smoking and no pets allowed in this unit or on this property. House is old, outside is not well maintained. The house has rusty smell and not vent. Did not know that 2 bedrooms in the basement which has a steep staircase and feel trapped. Not worth the price paid. House feel like 1 star motel.

This property was nice for the price. Lots of space for sleeping. Quirky older home but nice interior. Smaller kitchen stocked with almost everything you need. It is on a corner lot and easy to find.

It was in a great area for us to access Salt Lake and Davis County easily. The neighborhood was a bit sketchy but that is the Rose Park area and the price reflected that. The one thing that disturbed us the most was the smell thing like a cat had done it's business somewhere close by. The other thing was we could have used at least one more toilet paper roll in the master bathroom as the others had 2 full rolls and the partial roll except the master. We had to switch out from the other bathrooms. Also there wasn't much liquid soap in the master bathroom and it ran out before our stay was finished. Overall it worked out all right. I made these suggestions because it would have been a better experience for all of us.l

Very Nice small historic duplex. Notes for future renters 1. Unit is cooled by a single swamp cooler in the dining room. 2. Stairs to the 2 bedrooms in basement are steep and not full width. Could be challenging for those with vertigo or mobility issues. Not a problem for the kiddos and I.

Check-in was easy, house is very roomy, and the location is close to the airport, capital, museums, etc. The house is on a corner, but the neighborhood is quieter and there wasn’t too much traffic noise. We would definitely stay there again.
