Gorgeous Bethany retreat! Dog friendly, 4 BR\/3BA, near trails, <2 miles to beach
About this house rental
Nestled in Ocean View, this lovely house for $340 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Beautifully appointed and plenty of room to gather with a huge fully fenced & landscaped back yard - a perfect place to unwind and recharge while exploring the Delaware beaches and coastal region. 2220 square foot single family custom home with vaulted ceilings, wood floors throughout (new wood floors installed upstairs and in the primary bedroom since photos were taken), large living room, well-stocked kitchen, dining room for family dinners or board games, separate TV/media room. Large Master Bedroom suite with king-sized bed, attached bath, walk-in closet, cathedral ceilings, and ceiling fan. The second bedroom on the first floor includes black out curtains and ceiling fan, and is next to another full bathroom. Two more bedrooms and a third full bathroom upstairs. All bedrooms are comfortably outfitted with quality mattresses and have cable smart tvs. (TVs have been updated to newer Samsung ones since photos were taken). Rear yard is fully fenced and beautifully landscaped, with a trex deck, patio furniture on the deck, picnic table, outdoor shower, charcoal grill, & bike rack with cover. (Bikes not provided, but recommended for this location!) Located on the Bethany border in Ocean View, just a few houses from Hocker’s Grocery, easy access to the Fresh Pond bike trail, and just steps to the Assawoman Canal trail perfect for biking or walking. Bethany Beach center is just a 5-10 minute drive (depending on traffic.). Just a 3 minute drive to James Farm Ecological Preserve and the Indian River Bay for hiking, kayaking, and swimming. Holts Landing State Park is a 10 minute drive. Biking to the beach takes approximately 12-15 minutes via the canal trail and Garfield Parkway. Walk to the beach in roughly 45 minutes, or walk the canal trail to Turtle Walk (20 minutes) and take the shuttle. We will also be a short stroll to a new Ledo's Pizza and Yellow Fin's by the summer of 2024. This location is also ideal for checking out all that the Delaware and Maryland beaches have to offer. Drive 10-15 minutes north to the Delaware Seashore State Park and Dewey Beach, 20-25 minutes north to Rehoboth and Lewes, or head south and it's a 10-15 minute drive to Fenwick Island State Park and Fenwick...20 minutes to Ocean City. We also love visiting the Bethany Nature Center, Ocean View's John West Park (a short walk away), and the Delaware Botanic Gardens. Delaware regulations require all guests to sign a lease agreement. A lease agreement will be sent shortly after booking and must be returned signed and completed within 24 hours of receipt. This is a smoke-free property. Absolutely NO SMOKING or VAPING is allowed. If you are bringing one dog on your trip, the additional $25 nightly pet fee will be included in your quote when selecting 'Yes' to pets. We allow up to 2 well-behaved dogs over the age of 12 months. An additional $25 nightly fee will apply for an additional dog, and payment for dog 2 will be requested separately. We were so excited to find a vacation home for us and our pup. The house was roomy, clean with a large fenced in back yard. It was only a short drive to beaches, activities, groceries and great local restaurants. A small downside is that the house is on a busy road. We would happily stay here again!

The days were very hot but we found a lot of nice hiking trails to keep you semi-cool.
We also found Ecobay to be a hidden treasure!

We really enjoyed our stay at the house! It was just as described and very clean. It worked out well for us and our two adult children and their wives, plus our grandson. We each had our separate spaces upstairs and on each side of the house on the first floor. The backyard was perfect for the two dogs to run around… really great! Love the hammock! One caution… it was pretty buggy in the backyard so bring mosquito repellent and citronella candles!
It’s a short walk to the nearby trail along the canal but it’s a little dicey getting there. You have to walk about 50 yards along the shoulder of the road with traffic whizzing by. It’s not bad as long as you’re careful. If you’re a biker it’s easy to get to Route 1 to ride there.
The owners were very responsive to all our questions and very nice.

This house was perfect for our family and dogs. We loved the fenced in yard, deck and the layout of all the rooms. It was nice for everyone to have their own space and bathrooms. The house is also perfectly located and not too far from downtown Bethany and the beaches! We would definitely stay again in the future and enjoyed our stay!

We had a great week here with our family of four and two dogs. House was just as described and perfect layout for our family. Great communication with hosts. The location is great and while the road in front is a bit busy, the backyard is a relaxing oasis. We loved having space for our dogs to safely play. Easy drive to the beach and local restaurants. Great property with very attentive owners. We rent from VRBO quite often and this was one of our best experiences! The house was very well appointed and comfortable for our family. We really appreciated the little things they provided that make a huge difference, like soap and Keurig coffee in the house for when we arrived late. The fenced in back yard was perfect for our pups. The location was also very convenient to grocery, restaurants and most importantly, the beaches! We will be returning to this property!

We had a great experience at this house. The house is exactly as pictured and had plenty of space for my husband and I, our parents & our 6 month old son. Amazing fenced in backyard to hang out in with family and your pup. Hosts were nice and checked in with us and we had a totally seamless stay. We'd love to come back!

The house was as described. My family and our pets really enjoyed the house and the beautiful yard. It’s only 8 minute drive to Bethany Beach. Restaurants, grocery store and walking trail all within close proximity. Owner was very responsive. I particular appreciated their flexibility 😊

Well maintained, comfortable and nicely decorated. Ideal for couples as there are only 2 twin beds in the upstairs bedroom for the kids. Plenty of bathrooms. The master suite on ground floor is outstanding. Fenced in the backyard is ideal for dogs and was the deciding factor in my rental decision. The house is on a busy road and a short drive to the beach (appx 2.5 miles). I would stay again.

This property was spectacular. It was beautiful inside and out. Everything on the property was very well maintained. It was perfect place to relax and spend with our dog, he loved the back yard and lounging in the sun on the deck. It was a very short drive to Bethany Beach.
There is a very nice grocery store (Hocker's) within walking distance.
The only negative is that the road it's on was quite busy. There were many places to walk with the dog, but it could be a challenge to get to them walking and feel safe. But this would not stop us from staying here again in the future.

The rental house was spotless, roomy and beautifully decorated. The large fenced in backyard was a super plus for our little beagle to run, play and sunbathe. I highly recommend this lovely home!

More mosquitoes than expected as we’ve stayed annually in Bethany snd never had quite this many, but could just be the week we were there. Great location, close to grocery stores and close enough to bike to beach or drive Our only concern was that home was located on more of a main road. I was expecting home would be more in a neighborhood or back street. This was fine for us, but for families with kids and having a dog with us, I did worry about the traffic on street in front of home in case he ran out front door.
Otherwise, everything was outstanding and we had a wonderful extended weekend.

Clean, spacious, well-stocked home. The fenced in backyard is a pup paradise. The home is about a 7 minute drive to the beach, 20 min bike ride. Highly recommend renting or bringing bikes, that was a fun part of the trip. Owner communication was awesome - they were available at all times of day and night and proactively checked in which was really nice. Thanks for a great week

A great home for a relaxing vacation. Very nicely decorated and very comfortable furnishings. Bath soaps and shampoos are provided and are such nice touch. The kitchen is fully equipped with quality gadgets. Location is very good with the grocery store within walking distance. Our dog (and us) loved the large fenced in backyard. We would definitely stay there again.

Very nice property
Home was just as it was described in the listing It was very clean with nice decor. The house had everything we needed for an end of summer getaway. Great location for us since we like to bike. We are looking forward to coming back next Summer with our Golden Retriever.

Our family had a very relaxing stay at your beach home. The beds were SUPER comfy and all of the sheets and towels were soft and clean. Plenty of TVs and we loved that the central living room did not have one, so that we could gather there together screen-free! The bar table was perfect for doing a puzzle together and the back yard was perfect for our dog to run around, with plenty of shady spots and a lovely deck. We had a great time and hope to be back soon!
