Imagine spending a Maine summer in this beautiful section of the St. George Peninsula while sporting breathtaking views overlooking Clark Cove and Wheeler Bay. Here on three private acres with 602 feet of oceanfront, the shoreline reaches around three sides of the house providing water views from virtually every window. Indulge in vistas of the ocean and beyond as you watch lobster boats hauling traps, bald eagles fishing, and seals sunning themselves on the warm rocks when the tide recedes. Although there is so much to do in this part of Maine, it will be hard to pull yourself away from your captivating front-row seat on the coast. The waterfront is varied - rocky in some places and directly accessing the ocean in others. A cedar-lined path and a natural path lead you to the shore. The owners especially love the 'morning coffee rock' - a beautiful place to start your day overlooking the ocean. The Clark Island neighborhood also provides a place to launch a kayak or a small boat. As for the home itself, it was designed to make the most of the glorious surroundings. An atrium-style living room and dining room truly bring the outdoors in. The comfortable living room leads outside to the wrap-around deck, where you'll find Adirondack chairs, a picnic table, and a grill for summer barbecues. The dining room offers extraordinary views as well. The open kitchen is centered around a large island, offering high-end appliances (including an induction cooktop and a gas stove with a grill). Just below the kitchen in a small sunroom with a bistro set - a fantastic place for breakfast in the morning. A large loft with a TV overlooks the living room and dining room, offering a wonderful place to unwind and get cozy. When it's time to settle down for the evening, the bedrooms each have access to the deck, allowing you to begin and end every day with breathtaking sights of the horizon. spectacular view; spacious rooms; very private. Gaining access with key box codes in the rain was a challenge. Navigating the TV reception was also tedious and slow.

The views and setting on the water were exactly as described. Very picturesque. Well stocked kitchen and good lighting throughout. No air conditioning - and during a warm week, it was pretty uncomfortable.

The view of the bay and harbor were unbeatable. The house, while dated, was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. So quiet and peaceful. Very relaxing.

This house was very comfortable with attractive furnishings and magnificent water views. The primary bedroom was spacious , bedroom #2 was adequate but bedroom #3 in the basement while furnished nicely had no bathroom available. This might work for a family but not for adult guests needing to climb stairs to use a shared bathroom. This should have been nmade clear in the promotion materials..

The house is a little hard to find (one of the turns looks as though you are turning into the Cragnair Inn parking lot) and the lockbox is difficult for someone with 3 advanced degrees, but getting into heaven was never supposed to be easy. Others have commented on the great views from anywhere in the house, the roomy lawn, the rocks, the privacy, the serenity, the well-stocked kitchen, the proximity to Rockland (art galleries, Primo and the fabulous Atlantic Bakery). So I say what others have not: the water pressure is great, there is always enough hot water, I could spend much of my retirement in the master bathtub, the mattresses are comfortable, they have a complete series of Dorothy Sayers' Lord Peter Wimsey and other interesting books and magazines; the flower garden is lovely. In other words, all of us would return in a heartbeat. The downsides are so minor as to be laughable: the bathrooms make audible noise across rooms if you flush a toilet, there is a bedroom on a floor with no bathroom (my guest did not mind this at all) and there are no casserole dishes in the kitchen. I am not wealthy and went into this vacation in a bit of shock because of the cost (we postponed replacing our boiler) and emerged thinking that it was an excellent value for a lifetime of extraordinary memories of beauty and peace and fellowship. The Whites are obviously very nice people with good taste and I'm grateful they've shared their house.

The views of the Maine coast were amazing. Unfortunately one bedroom was located in an unfinished basement area which was damp and musty. This dramatically changed our sleeping assignments. The old couches were quite uncomfortable as the cushions were constantly sliding off and the covers had quite a bit of dog hair and fuzz along the sides. I think some practical improvements could easily elevate my rating to a five. We loved the area.

Beautiful place

House is fantastic, gorgeous views 24/7. House comes with everything you need for your stay. Super Walmart is only 7 miles away of you new to run to a store for anything you may have forgotten. Only things I would change is a TV in the main living area. Also the house rules and vacassa rules are a little bit contradictory so we used the house rules. Definitely rate it a 10/10

We had a fantastic trip , The house is far better than the pictures, The house sits directly on the ocean , kinda like being on a ship , The view is spectacular and the rocks are so much fun to play and walk on , ( just be careful of the tides ) it’s very private and secluded, We spent most of our time outside walking the trails and the roads , We just came back today October 23, the weather was beautiful, we even had a full blood moon that was incredible to watch come up . Sunrise was also mesmerizing.. The beds very comfy , They have two or three TV which wr tried to use to watch the Red Sox game , but is unavailable to figure the 6 remotes out , Three challenged girls .. The house was equipped with everything you need to cook with and even though it is not listed they did have a dish washer .. We ate in for the most part , but to venture out for a few nice meals , Lobster Rolls at Reds and haddock at the taste of Maine . Definitely most places were closed for the season .. I wish they had a later check out as you have to bag all bedding in different linen bags and clean 10 am check out and a 4 pm check in .. I payed full price for both those days , And also a 1,000 dollars fee for I am not sure what !! close to 5,000 a week .. With no flexibility.. I did love the house and the location but I felt they could of been more flexible as no one was coming in after us , We even had to text them when we left and they reminded us twice , I have never experienced that before .. The coffee maker needs to be replaced it was very dirty and stained , We found a coffee press that was perfect .. 3 woman and we did have a amazing trip .. Just ask about the extra fees first ..
