WINTER SEASON: September 5, 2023 – May 12, 2024 SUMMER SEASON: May 12, 2024 – September 3, 2024 This adorably decorated beach house on the bay will be sure to make your stay cozy! The cargo lift makes unpacking and bringing up groceries and luggage a breeze. Living room provides seating for 8 with TV that allows streaming on all your favorite platforms, while also enjoying the view of the bay. Full size kitchen features a large island with seating for 4 and counter space needed for cooking or space to play board games. Laundry room off the kitchen also provides a coffee bar with both traditional coffee maker and Keurig for a great cup of coffee while you sit on the deck and watch the boats. With dining for 8, meals together will make great memories. Primary bedroom offers a king size bed for plenty of relaxing sleep and TV with Roku device for streaming. While the primary bathroom offers a large walk in shower and a wonderful soaker tub to allow you to relax, soak and unwind after a fun day in the sun. The second bedroom also offers a king size bed and a twin over twin bunk for extra sleeping and TV with Roku device. The hallway guest bath allows for easy access with a walk in shower for guests. The deck provides a breathtaking view of the bay on three sides. Listening to the water will melt away your day. The picnic table on the deck gives you a great place to share a meal and feel the breeze. The downstairs area offers a fenced in yard on two sides with the water on the other two sides and a large slab to hang out with the entire family. Picnic table, swinging bench and chairs will help you fall in love with the view this house provides. Two docks, with fishing lights and underwater lights, allow for ample fishing space with the west side dock also having a bench, live well and a boat slip with lift, available at request prior to check in. The house provides live bait buckets. Under the house there is a fish cleaning station with a two tub sink. The outside bar and kitchen area provides a full size refrigerator, two burner cook top, sink, Keurig, TV with Roku device. Outside of the bar area has an additional refrigerator and storage. There is also a small on-site private beach right next to the house that gives you everything you need for a beach vacation, including umbrellas and chairs! You also have access to a sein to catch bait on the beach, crab traps, crab boil pot, burner and crab cracking dining utensils. Charter boat guide is also available to pick you up from the dock or beach and clean your fish! PRIMARY BEDROOM (KING), BEDROOM 2 (KING, TWIN/TWIN BUNK), EXTRA SLEEPING (2 QUEEN SLEEPER SOFAS IN LIVING ROOM). We booked the house for our family to get away for the weekend and never dreamed we would fall in love with the area as well as the house. It was perfect. The real estate managing agency was amazing to work with. The views are beautiful. We enjoyed watching the big freight ships go by and the birds. My granddaughter loved everything about it. The weather was gloomy and rainy but we enjoyed all the covered outdoor areas. My son caught a huge red and we caught tons of hermit crabs and a couple of blue crabs. The whole experience was great. We plan on coming back soon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Beach House on the Bay! The views are stunning from the interior and exterior spaces. It is SO peaceful watching the ships, barges, & boats go by, and the sunsets are incredible from the wraparound deck. My husband and son are avid fishermen, and although the weather didn't cooperate for fishing (SUPER windy over SB, and then it got COLD), they caught a bunch of crabs in the numerous crab traps. The home itself was very nice. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds are super comfy and the cargo elevator was a godsend. La Playita Mexican Restaurant down the road is very good. Also enjoyed the food and views at Stingaree. Highly recommend. We will most definitely book this property again.If I could make one suggestion it would be to add keyless entry to the property. We came across via the ferry (which is super close to the property), but then had to drive into town to get the keys and then drive back to the property. Same deal for checkout. Inconvenient after a long day of travel (we drove in from KS).

The location of the home is perfect as it is very close to the ferry and accessible for charter companies. Rod Bending Charters picked us up right at the boat slip and even cleaned our fish on the dock when they dropped us off. This house is a hidden gem loaded with amenities. We got to try our hand at crabbing, enjoyed the swing and hammock, the various games, the lovely breeze off of the ocean and so much more. One thing to remember is that Port Bolivar is a small, quiet community which is nice. However, because of that everything closes earlier than in Galveston. You'll want to make sure you make your dinner plans early! The check in and out process was smooth and the staff at Cobb Real Estate was very friendly and helpful. They even gave us a cool beach bag and a movie rental card that you can use to rent two movies at a time for free during your stay. The only isue we had was that the machine didn't work (or I did something wrong) when returning movies and trying to get new ones. I recommend renting during the hours Cobb is open in case you have the same issue. Otherwise everything was great and we look forward to renting here again soon!

The house is beautiful, the location ideal, and the view spectacular, but it wasn’t enough to make up for the fact that after arriving in the late evening after an eight hour ride, our group had no bedding, no towels and no toilet paper. A call to the managing company was of no help as I was informed that it was the fault of the linen company who was supposed to provide those items and that it was too late for the problem to be remedied. Thankfully the dollar store was open late and we were able to drive there and buy beach towels so we could shower and we utilized the various throws around the living room furniture as blankets. The following day, after no follow-up call from the managing company by late morning, I again reached out and reminded them that we had no linens and that we could not locate the fishing poles advertised as part of the house. After two more calls to the managing company, the linens and fishing poles were delivered by late afternoon. Since we were only staying until Sunday, that only gave us one morning of fishing as the mosquitos at sundown are treacherous and you must remain indoors. Again, the house is truly beautiful and the dolphins swimming by are magical, but the poor customer service and lack of attention to detail poorly impacted our family weekend.

Love love love this house and location
This would have easily been five stars except for an issue with the boat lift that was ultimately resolved but if I hadn’t contacted the property management company before arrival it would have been a disaster.

My wife and I spend lots of time on Bolivar and this is one of the best equipped rentals we have ever stayed in. The view and sunsets are terrific. The ease of fishing is great with two lighted piers. The location away from all the hustle and bustle of normal traffic on the beach and the spacious downstairs for just relaxing. We are in our 80's and having a Cargo Lift to get all of your belongings upstairs is a wonderful benefit! Yes, you will love this place.
