The home was so charming and our family group fit easily. The front porch was a highlight for us with the beautiful weather and breeze. Located close to easily walk to lake, restaurants, and activities at Lake Junaluska. We do cook so the kitchen was also wonderful. Thanks for a fantastic trip and for allowing our furry family members to come along.

Very old home. Probably has had multiple additions as it is not centrally designed. Multiple exterior entrances. Central AC would have been nice but we knew going in it wasn’t available. House was clean when we arrived and Wi-Fi works fine. AC unit in kitchen could be larger. Bedrooms in the back were warm at night, though house has plenty of ceiling fans. Front door on porch impossible to open and close. Back yard for the dog was nice and pool and other activities were fun. Fit our needs but probably would not stay there again. Nicer homes for the same money.

The house is a bit chopped up but worked for us. Needs more pans, bowls etc in kitchen. Was a challenge cooking for large group. AC was a challenge. We had to open windows at night. We were gone most of the day, but house got hot during meals and afternoon. House had lots of extra bedding and bath towels. Nice to have washer and dryer, as we did 3 loads of towels.

We experienced frustration before even stepping inside. Some of the guests arrived early but waited on the porch to check in. A crew showed up at 3:45 and began cleaning, 15 minutes prior to our verified check in time. They did not leave until 5:45pm. The beds were left unmade, sheets all left in stacks on beds, comforters left in corners and on floors. Towels were left in massive stacks sitting on the kitchen table. Ants were all over the kitchen until an exterminator arrived on Thursday morning. The dishes were so dirty in the cabinets that we had to wash them before using them. While I appreciated the handicap ramp outside, this was the only convenience to being non-weight bearing with a knee scooter after a major foot surgery. It was difficult to maneuver through the gravel driveway, and nothing was wide enough in the house for accessibility. It was impossible to take a shower as the only shower handle in the bathroom was outside of the shower. There was nothing to hold onto in the shower. The bedroom walkway was too small to even get the scooter around the room. We paid a great deal of money and did a lot of the cleaning on the front end. The house is extremely outdated and cost more than some of the updated homes on campus. We are disappointed and plan to avoid staying at this location in the future. We would appreciate a consideration of a cleaning fee refund.
