About this cottage rental
Centrally located between Boone and Blowing Rock and just minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway, this immaculately maintained Blowing Rock mountain home has gorgeous layered sunset views. There is an open and vaulted covered deck taking full advantage of the view. Misty Creek Mountain Cottage has an open vaulted and beamed living room and kitchen floor plan with a half bath and washer/dryer on the main. The large Primary bedroom along with an attached en-suite bath and roomy walk-in closet are also conveniently located on the main floor. There is an indoor gas fireplace to cozy up to while watching wildlife and viewing the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Upstairs, Misty Creek Cottage has two bright and airy wooded mountain-view bedrooms with queen size mattress. The bathroom upstairs has a tub/shower combination. The home was built in 2012 and has all updated fixtures and hardwoods/tile throughout. The serene and private outdoor area is perfect for viewing the mountains and wildlife. The sparkling clean four person hot tub, wood burning fire-pit, and propane grill help make Misty Creek a perfect retreat for a true mountain experience. A four wheel or all wheel drive will be necessary in the winter months due to the paved but very steep driveway and roads in the area.

This property is in a great location, midway between Blowing Rock and Boone. Good hikes nearby. The drive up is a bit steep so be forewarned but the views from the top are worth it. 3 good sized rooms with comfortable beds, a cozy living area and kitchen has most of what you need (fyi, coffee pot takes flat bottomed filters). We didn’t use the fireplace but we did enjoy the hot tub and outdoor pit area. Overall, a great stay. Would definitely go back!

There is nothing mentioned about a VERY steep driveway to VERY limited parking at the top next to cabin. Also, the Hot tub had a terrible, musty odor when we opened the top. We notified the owner who sent someone the next day to clean but why wasn't cleaned before we arrived? In addition, 2 of the beds had sheets that smelled musty also.Kitchen was clean but there was condiments left in the refrigerator that had been opened- YUCK! not sure why they were left
