So much potential and cute but wouldn't book again
The property sits beautifully on a small river and very close to downtown and everything else you need while still feeling very secluded and private. The screened in back porch and wood stove was a very nice touch!
Honestly the cabin has so much potential but it needs a little TLC such as new beds, both beds were extremely uncomfortable and felt like "model beds", as well as the pillows, they were awfully hard and only two on each bed (which was fine for us). The WiFi didn't work upon arrival, had to reset a couple of times, not the biggest issue but absolutely zero service without it. TV remote also didn't work, even after changing the batteries we found in a drawer. They offered to bring a new one by but at that point, we had already left for the evening and wasn't planning on watching much TV. Lastly the biggest issue was the amount of cluster flies. I know this is not rare in the area during this time but I have never in my life seen the amount of flies inside a rental as we did here. I counted 19 in one room along the walls and on the lamps. They were also dead on the floor throughout the entire cabin. I refused to walk barefoot. Again, I understand this isn't abnormal this time of year for the location, however, when you're paying almost $700 for two nights...I expect someone to at least check on the property beforehand to make sure it was clean enough for check in, especially since they were local. I'm assuming it's for sale per the sign beside the driveway by the road, so maybe they're not too concerned. Unfortunately, wouldn't books here again.
