About this cottage rental
4 season secluded cottage, to unwind no matter what your hobbies.
Enjoy fishing, canoeing, swimming, kayaking in our motorized lake.
Hit the slopes at Elk Mountain when there is snow or to hike in the summer.
Bring your Snowmobiles and Side by Sides for the Rail to Trials through NEP, or bring your book and your loved ones and simply enjoy nature and decompress.
The road to the cottage is a dirt road and has a creek that needs to be driven over, road is built under it. It was intended to be driven over. We recommend 4 X4 vehicles especially during times with possible, snow filled visits. It would also be wise to pack a shovel during winter months. Shovels are provide at the cabin however depending on storms your own might be useful You assume full responsibility driving the road to the cottage.

Had another great long holiday winter weekend at this property with friends and family. Easy access to Elk Mtn for skiing, fun playing on the frozen lake and cozy evenings by the wood stove and TV. Long dirt road to get there but wasn’t hard to navigate and still a close drive to general store (Cables), convenience store/pizzaria (Arlo’s) or restaurants (The Beacon) for weekend needs. Tips - Not too close to any grocers or state (liquor) stores so BYO for those things. Also as noted in the description sheets/blankets supplied but not towels, so BYOT’s as well.

We stayed at the house end of August. The weather was really nice, warm during the day and chilly at night. The house overall was nice, clean and well equipped. The road to the house is interesting… dirt road thought the woods and you have to cross a small creek. The neighborhood is quiet and relaxing. The town itself is bit boring, nothing really there to see or do. It’s a perfect location if you’re planning on staying at the house and Anjou the beautiful view in the back. We had a great time. No issues with the check in or check out.

entry code wouldn't work. they did correct it when notifiedGrill was a fire hazard, grease everywhere. Took considerable time to clean and finally burn off (on a wooden deck). Kept a fire extinguisher on-hand. Could have easily destroyed a very nice house. Once we went to cook on it the gas ran out. Air Fryer dirty.Screen door wouldn't close fully.Many light bulbs burned out, bought bulbs and replaced several.Road was challenging but it was explained in the property description, I didn't mind but the family not so much.The good - nice property, view was special, loved the fishing, back porch was great with the view, house was nicely decorated, Overall enjoyed the trip after correcting the issues. Owners were readily available and cooperative. Unexpected bonus was the owner at the end of the road, an old friend of mine,excellent mechanic that worked on my vehicle when I lived in the area. We had good time remeniscing about the "old" days.
