The Sunrose House (formerly As Good As It Gets) is a newly remodeled, fully equipped private home with spectacular, unobstructed panoramic views of the beach. The house is ideal for family gatherings, with plenty of room to congregate or spread out. Staying here, the beach is quite literally your backyard - with nothing in between you, the sand, and the surf. The large, multi-level oceanside deck provides one-of-a-kind water views; and a beach-facing glass fence provides both security and views while lounging by the private full-sized pool, accompanying kiddie pool, and hanging out at the poolside cabana and lounge chairs. When you come in from the beach, easily rinse off in the outdoor showers before having a drink and a dip. This large, trendy house comfortably accommodates up to 16 people. It is ready for your family gatherings or relaxing vacations with friends, with a well-equipped kitchen, spacious dining area, comfortable seating, and a game room with a pool and ping-pong table. Several beach bikes are included in the rental for quick runs to the nearby market, ice cream shops, and shopping. The Sunrose House is the perfect place to create unforgettable memories and revisit year after year for your treasured vacations. THINGS TO KNOW The pool will be open from late April through early/mid-October. This property is managed by Vacasa Virginia LLC. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

the proximity to ocean; great pool and baby pool; everything in kitchen for use; clean; amazing amenities (e.g. crushed ice machine in bar poolside; lots of deck chairs and tables) too numerous to mention

Very nice house on the inside and amazing location. Could not ask for a better location on the beach. The outside of the house needs some repairs. The siding on one side if the house is ripped off and bangs against the house all night. On the other side of the house a pipe is hanging down that bangs in the housa all night. I went and bought some tape to tape the pipe so it wouldn’t bang so we could sleep. The bedrooms on the side where the siding is banging on the house didn’t get any sleep.

The house has good spaces and is simple and operational. Proximity to the beach was lovely and dolphin watching from the HUGE picture window was spectacular! Overall updates to furniture and flooring seems new and in keeping with venue. Multiple refrigerators and ice maker a blessing. Pool a nice gathering and grilling space.

This place had the best view of the ocean. The house was spacious on the inside. We were a group of 13 and had plenty of room. Enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the dolphins.

The house was great! Clean, stocked with towels and linens stir our stay. The view of the ocean from the master was worth every penny we paid. We had a plumbing issue with a toilet that was leaking on the first night and maintenance was quick to respond and sent someone out to fix and brought more towels to replace the ones we used to clean up floor from leak. Would stay again!

I'll start with the positive. Check in and check out were simple and easy. Location is great. Kitchen is very well equipped with pots pans dishes etc. (beware, only 1 roll of papertowl and 2 dishwasher tabs. This is a house to fit 16 people.... those 2 items lasted about 1.5 days) Now the negative... communication with a vacasa rep was terrible. She texted me info and when I texted back with issues, no reply for days. (it was not a bot, It was a human being) I had to call the local Vacasa office. They were helpful. The house needs TLC. Cleaning was not very good. There were ants all over the kitchen counters. We bought dinner to grill and when we went out to grill, there was no propane! All of the boogie boards were broken in half. The skim board was shredded. No beach chairs or towels. One of the garage doors was broken and they wanted to know when I would be at the house so they could fix. I didn't go on vacation to wait for a repair man. There was a pool/ping pong table. Someone prior to us shoved ping pong balls down the pool table pockets and all the pool balls were jammed. If you're laid back about the things I listed as negative above, you'll be fine. Like I said, location is great!

We tend to be a very picky family and overly critical when it comes to places to stay, and while this property may not be super new and fancy, it was perfect for our needs. It was every bit as advertised. The kitchen was full and very well stocked. It was a super hot week and the AC worked great. The view of the ocean and the private access to the beach is fantastic. And the pool area and poolside cabana is a bit underrated in my opinion. I have stayed in newer places where the pools were half this size. Immediate access to the pool area from the beach and the cabana had an industrial ice machine which was a real highlight for us to make mixed drinks right by the pool. And though I had very few needs to speak to property management, they were incredibly cordial and responsive - even reaching out to me proactively to make sure everything was to our liking. We would stay here again and recommend this property for anyone with a sizeable family gathering (at one point, we had some extended family visit for a couple days that took our count to 16 with many children and the property accommodated us perfectly).

Great place, great location!

Great place, great location!

Home was very clean. The beach IS your front yard. The chuckle hut next to the pool was great, with a fridge, TV and an ice maker (which was a great feature). The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it does need an inside paint job and it would be nice if the pool was heated and there was a hot tub. Overall, everyone was pleased with the place and would definitely come back.
