About this cottage rental

Nestled in Beaver Island, this lovely cottage for $249 per night is a great option for your next trip. Located in the middle of Sand Bay, 5 miles from down town, 3 miles from the golf course and steps from150 feet of sandy private beach. There is enough room for two families or more in this 1400 square foot cabin with 4 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The large cabin easily sleeps nine, with the addition of two cots for extra sleeping. You can enjoy preparing for your days adventure as you fashion meals in our newly renovated eat in kitchen with dishwasher and garbage disposal. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, toaster, Instant Pot and blender. The evening can be spent enjoying time in the screened in porch, on the outdoor deck or in the living room where you can enjoy a fireplace, Bluetooth TV, DVD/VCR, WIFI and lots of books and board games. For those that like to cook outdoors, we have a charcoal grill. A new washer and dryer is available to keep your clothes clean. We ask that guest bring their own bedsheets, pillow cases and towels. Comforters, blankets and pillows are provided. Linen Service is available for additional charge. Rentals are Saturday - Saturday only

This place was exactly what we needed! A place to unplug and unwind from the daily demands of being a business owner. Simple and perfect. The back yard was absolutely gorgeous to say the least! We couldn’t have had a better beach view. The home was very nice and clean. We had everything we needed to make our week stay absolutely perfect! Just minutes away from the beautiful town of St. James where the people are very friendly. We felt like part of the community. We definitely left a part of our heart on Beaver Island! We’re already planning our next escape from the mainland! We’ll be back!🥰☘️🛳️🛩️

This home sits on a beautiful piece of property. I stayed with my daughter, her husband and their 2 children. We had plenty of room and a lot of fun. The host was great and responded very quickly to any questions.

Our family loved our stay. Our boys asked if we could stay forever and us adults were sad as well to have to pack up and go. We look forward to making it a yearly visit to Beaver Island.

Visiting Beaver Island is like stepping back into a kinder, gentler time! We loved everything about our stay. It was peaceful and we spent days biking (we brought our own, but there are rentals in town) around the island roads and trails. This house couldn’t have been more perfect for what we wanted: relaxed, comfortable with awesome sunrise view and beach. John the host is extremely responsive, friendly and accommodating. It may have been a once-in-a-lifetime chance, but I finally knocked seeing the Northern Lights off my bucket list… right from the back porch!

We stayed at the cabin with our 9 year old son for 4 days. We all absolutely loved it! It was very clean, cozy, and had everything we needed to include a smart TV, charcoal grill, and great kitchen amenities. The cottage was, in our opinion, on the best stretch of beach on the island. The host responded to our questions very well and made the check in and check out process a breeze. Will stay here again!

Anyone looking for a beautiful spot on the shore of lake michigan please check this one out! Lovely home only steps away from the Lake. Beds were comphy, lots of games to play, house was clean, nice big screen tv for those rainy days, and where we were most was on the beautiful deck soaking up the sun or watching the stars. Owner was very fast to get back to you if needed. I would highly recommend this home!

My family loved staying at this wonderful house - it is on a beautiful stretch of beach with a sandy bottom under the water that was shallow enough for the kids to really enjoy. The house had plenty of space and bedrooms for us all, lots of tables for eating and playing games and a well equipped kitchen. Owner was incredibly responsive. Would return again!

Our stay was lovely! Waking up and walking out with a cup of coffee just steps away from amazing Lake Michigan took our breath away each day. Sand Bay is beautiful and we loved being able to walk our puppy on the sand and wade out into the crystal clear water. The home has everything you need and more. We wanted a peaceful and quiet place to getaway from the hustle and this stay was just what we needed!

A wonderful cottage, great location, fantastic amenities, and the flora/fauna are amazing. Only wish we had known about the car/ferry schedule in advance as the Saturday ferries to Beaver Island are quite popular...

Located on the nicest section of Sand Bay, the beach is phenomenal. We were in the water every day. The cabin is old school in a very positive way and the kitchen is modern and very functional. Beds were comfortable and the breeze coming off the lake led to good sleeping conditions. The deck and outdoor furnishings were a plus, we ate almost all our meals in the fresh air. We're looking forward to returning next summer. Note: The VRBO property description indicates that you'll need to provide your own towels and sheets but John (the host) has decided to include them at no additional charge. John was a great host and responded to inquiries quickly.

We love this place! We came with our four children and Grandma and never felt crowded. The house was cozy and the views were amazing. John was so helpful in preparing to come to the island and answered all our questions quickly. We explored some of the island and other beaches but honestly the beach in front of the house was the best! We spent all day on it; grilled out, ate all our meals outside, had a campfire and stayed up late to stargaze.

Great base location for island stay and easy to explore from. Cottage is a mix of old, rustic charm and modern conveniences (dishwasher, instapot, ninja blender, wifi, smart TV, comfortable bed). Plenty of outdoor entertainment and seating for the deck, beach and bonfire. Owner communications (check in, instructions for stay and departure) were thorough.
