Casa Merlot is a charming three bedroom, two bath home with a spacious open floor plan, perfect for family and friends to get together. The home is in a rural Paso Robles where farm animals graze in front of neighbor’s homes. Take a walk down a country road and say hello to sheep, chickens, cows and maybe an alpaca or two. With downtown Paso Robles just 20 minutes away, you can pop into town and indulge in the many boutiques, restaurants and wine tasting rooms. Enjoy your day out wine tasting, Tobin James, Bianchi are just two of the many wineries near by. After a day of exploring the central coast, head home for a fun evening of playing pool, BBQing, and gathering around the outdoor firepit. (Bring your own supply of firewood) The stars at night are incredible!! Casa Merlot is a perfect place to enjoy Paso Robles and all it has to offer. County Permit #6010100 ***Five Star Coffee Program- We start your stay with a supply of coffee, filters, coffee pods, cream, and sugar for our provided drip and pod-style coffee makers onsite at every home.******Dogs are only allowed with an additional $25/night per dog fee. The pet fee is not included in the 'initial quote'. We stayed here with our 3 adult children and 2 dogs over the Christmas holiday. The layout of the home and the amenities were perfect for us - large living/dining room to hang out in, kitchen with lots of space and plenty of cookware and dishes, completely fenced backyard for the dogs, nice hot tub. The property is very well maintained - very clean and no problems. Maria Isabel Sánchez Vegara, born in Barcelona, Spain, is a writer and creative director in constant search of new concepts for children's books. Working for more than fifteen years for clients in top advertising agencies, her books combine creativity with learning, aiming to establish a new and fresh relationship between children and pop culture. We were looking for a place in the countryside so we could walk the dogs and the home is in a beautiful setting so we enjoyed our walks. It only took about 20 minutes to get to downtown and less than that for some of the wineries we visited. I would definitely rent from Paso Robles Vacation Rentals again.

Great house with lots of amenities. The hot tub, pool table, horse shoe pits, lots of quiet outdoor seating areas, comfotable beds, large kitchen with plenty untensils and cookware. The house is about 10-15min from downtown, but we were fine with that.

Fabulous house to gather with girlfriends for a weekend away. House is close to many wineries, but a little further from town than expected. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool table, and overall the house was roomy and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again. I would recommend bringing your own plastic cups for outside tho as the house didn’t have any.

The house is a great place to stay. Huge property! Hot tub was wonderful! My only reason for 4 stars on location, is that it is difficult to find the first time. The street is also very narrow and hilly, But it was worth the hunt! Property management was easily accessible, and walked us thru a small problem with the internet.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The property was clean, comfortable, well equipped, and easy check in/out. The photos do a great job of what we got. We had 6 adults in our group and everyone had a great time. It was a squeeze to get all of us into the jacuzzi. :) The location of the property outside of town was exactly what we were looking for. We would definitely return for another stay when in the Paso Area.

Everything was great! My whole family loved staying here and it was perfect for everyone. That had everything we need and it was perfect for the 6 of us.

The house is lovely and was SPOTLESS CLEAN. Access was super easy. Beds are comfortable and kitchen had everything for meal prep, including coffee and tea pods.
The downside- the property is at least 15 minutes driving from the nearest winery, 25 minutes from Downtown Paso Robles and a solid 40 minutes from the wineries West of 101 (like Justin). It is away from all of the action and neighbors are country living - chickens, roosters, horses and lots of barking dogs early in the AM. Perfect vacation house for a family, not the best location for a girlfriends wine weekend.

The vacation rental itself was great - good location, cleanliness, amenities, access was easy and straightforward and information was easy to come by. My only complaint is that we were a bit disappointed when the property management staff wouldn't even check if we could have late checkout (1 hour later) because it was a long weekend, we were just told it was too hard to coordinate on a long weekend. We felt that we paid a premium to rent from a property management company rather than a private owner to get more reliable service, and that interaction made it feel like maybe that wasn't the case at all.

We visited wjith our friends to celebrate their marriage a nd introduce them to the wonderful Paso area. We loved this house! Clean, spacious and comfortable. We didn’t get a chance to use the hot tub or horseshoes, but really enjoyed the pool table. Would absolutely stay here again!

We found ourself needing a last minute spot in Paso and after scrolling the few options, was so happy to have found Casa Merlot. Loved the outdoor space and the pool table. We arrived to a clean home and the coffee bar was much appreciated. The cupboards had plenty of dishes and glasses for us to use over our stay. We had breakfast both days at home and the kitchen was well stocked with the items we needed (the heavy pans were incredible!)We were greeted on our last morning with a deer in the backyard. And we enjoyed seeing the neighboring horses each day as we left. It is a bit windy to get in and out of but it was desired to have a more remote spot for quiet. Inside we had bathrooms with travel sized toiletries for showering and plush towels. Beds were great and we enjoyed the space!

Great home, very spacious, clean and well taken care of. Great for our family of 5. Only regret is that we had to fly in / fly out for a wedding and didn't really get to enjoy the home, downtown, etc. Would definitely stay here again.

House worked out great for 5 of us and 3 dogs. Plenty of room for all us to spread out. Only issue we had was the washing machine made a terrible noise when in the wash cycle, seem to work but does not sound good. Would of liked to have some foil, baggies and paper plates/paper cups at unit but understand we should of brought ourselves. Thank you for a enjoyable experience.

Wonderful, relaxing, open space. We have stayed here twice and loved it both times. The property is huge, clean and comfortable. Our dog really loves it. He is able to run around the property, and he is has made friends with the neighbors dogs. Would highly recommend staying here. Sure it’s a little drive from downtown Paso and the Adelaide side of Paso, but it feels like a vacation. Easy checkin process as well.

Great for our trip, which was 2 families with 2 babies under 1. Everything was very clean and it was a nice spot to hang out for the weekend. Driving to downtown Paso was 15 minutes but we also spent time at wineries that were less than 10 min away. All in all - great spot.
