Situated in Carp Lake, this charming house for $282 per night is a great choice for your next break. This is a perfect cottage for your Up North vacation experience! The cottage is located on the south side of Paradise lake, and the sunsets can be watched from the screened in porch—they are unbeatable! This is a 2 bedroom one bath cottage. One bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has 2 twin beds in a bunk bed set up. The bathroom is newly installed and updated as of June 2021. Has an adorable breakfast nook off of the kitchen. Appliances include stove, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker. Located just 10 minutes south of mackinaw city and 30 minutes north of petoskey, many restaurants surrounding including Harbor lights( located right in the lake), Douglas lake inn, leggs Inn, and many more! Great location for day trips to mackinaw island, the upper peninsula, or neighboring towns, and perfect for relaxing on the lake, whatever you are in the mood for!

We had a great stay at this rustic cabin. The description was accurate and our kids loved using the row boat and kayak. The lake is very shallow, which was perfect for our two young kids (4 and 6). We also loved sitting out on the porch. Sunsets are gorgeous. The host was very responsive. Thank you!

This property was perfect for our family of 3. The lake provided hours of entertainment for my son, and it was shallow near the shore so I was able to relax and not worry about him. The host was amazing with communication and answered all of our questions quickly. The house was clean and really well stocked. Very relaxing.

We stayed at the cottage with our two kids (7 and 10). It was very clean and decently stocked.
The location was perfect for day trips into the UP and to Mackinac Island.
The only thing we wished it had was a grill.
Would definitely stay again.

Great beach and screen porch

We had a great time at this lakeside cottage. We loved the front porch and the fact that it is right on the water of Paradise Lake. This property is located about 20 minutes from Mackinaw City and provides a great jumping point for day trips to Mackinac Island, St Ignace, Petosky, and Cheboygan. We brought our own bicycles and enjoyed riding the many trails available on the island and the mainland.

Great Communication, Clean place, Even Better View. The beach and water are amazing, my 2 daughters & I had a great time swimming and just hanging out watching the sunsets. Mackinac city is close by, the ferry from there to Mackinaw Island is right there as well. The bridge is right there too if you want to check out some UP stuff. I’d HIGHLY recommend this place, so much so my girls asked if/when we can book it again to come back this summer.

After a busy day in Mackinaw City, the Island or Wilderness State Park, this is the perfect place to come back to rest and relax! The cottage is very clean and has everything you need, including a screened porch. The owners are very responsive to all questions. I am definitely hoping to stay at this little gem again!

We were very pleased with our responsive hostess and the cottage. Everything was as noted in the description. The cottage was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The lake and the sunsets were beautiful - we loved sitting on the screened -in porch in the evening. The cottage is convenient to Mackinaw City and we were able to go to Mackinac Island, the U.P. , and Legs Inn! It is a great place to stay for an Up North vacation.

Staying here for a week with our two kids (2.5 yr & 4.5 yr) was perfect! The house was clean, well stocked, and although small, a perfect fit our family! The water is warm and shallow so it was great for our young children. The host was super helpful and quick to respond to any of my questions before and during our stay. We took a few day trips to Mackinac Island, the UP, and Ocqueoc Falls. The rest of the time was happily spent at the cabin swimming and making s’mores! Thank you for sharing such a great place for us to make family memories!

Cute cottage on a quiet and peaceful lake…close to many Northern destinations!
My wife and I stayed for 6 days to get away from the hustle and bustle of work and everyday life. It was the most relaxing vacation we’ve had in some time! We trailered our Harley up with us…the cottage location is great…20 minutes North to the Mackinaw bridge and UP or West to Legs Inn and scenic M-119 Tunnel of the Trees for a motorcycle ride! The lake was so quite and relaxing every day and night! While we were kayaking the shoreline we got some great pictures and video of a Bald Eagle perched in a tree and taking flight…it was awesome! The weather was perfect during our stay…swimming was great and the sunsets from the cottage’s sandy beach or screened porch were so beautiful! The owners responded quickly to a question I had and were very helpful! We will stay here again!

Perfect location for day tripping around the area. The lake is great and the kids were in it as much as possible. The cabin is nice and clean, well kept. It was about right for the 4 of us. The boys took the bunks and seemed like they had enough room. Overall a very relaxing week watching sunsets on the beach.

Classic cabin on a lake
This is the perfect old school cabin but without the old time hang ups. The owners are lifelong members of the lake community, so they are knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They have struck the perfect balance between classic and modern, quaint and convenient. The place has all the charm of an early/mid-century cottage, but with subtle updates and conveniences like WiFi, and good water pressure. The view is outstanding, especially at sunset. There’s a beach with a fire pit, and the water is quite shallow for several yards out, so nobody buzzes the shore on jet skis. It’s close to restaurants and attractions, but still feels off the beaten path. As city people, we found it to be a perfect, private getaway from the noise and bustle.

We really enjoyed this cottage which is right on the peaceful lake Paradise. Just what we needed getting away from the day trips to mackinaw city and the island.. totally relaxing and fun! Perfect location…
