Perfect home for a weekend getaway for my dog’s birthday. We didn’t get to utilize the outdoor spaces but wish we did. There is a large fenced backyard, and porch. Plus there are 2 bikes you can borrow. The house has everything you need from bug spray and first aid in the bathroom to spare supplies for the dogs. One tip if you come on warmer weekend is to turn on the AC right away and get the place cooled off. Communication is was super easy. When I made a mistake during booking Elena graciously helped me out.

Wonderful stay! Vintage cabin vibes with modern conveniences. Great location- easy to walk to trails and downtown. We spent most of our chill time on the back deck which was eye level with trees- so bird watching was great. The fully fenced in yard is huge! The dogs got their zoomies on every morning- note- there are 2 sets of stairs from the deck- one is meant for little legged dogs and made yard access for our low-rider pup easy. Highly recommend and our host Elena was amazing!

Honey Bear Cottage was delightful and Elena and Harold are very gracious hosts. The cottage is just adorable and super comfortable. Everything we needed, I mean everything, was there. The house, outside areas, kitchen, and bathroom were so well stocked. The deck was our favorite spot at the beginning and end of the day. Our doggie adored the big backyard. Elena and Harold were excellent communicators before, during, and after our stay. The day after we checked in, there was a weather alert for Idyllwild (cold, rain, and snow). Harold personally called us to make sure we felt safe and to let us know where extra wood was stored for the fireplace. He said to call if we needed anything and I knew he was sincere. We look forward to returning to Honey Bear Cottage and highly recommend the property as well as the kind hosts!
