Unwind Holidays is delighted to welcome you to: Hero Views @ Middleton This spectacular architecturally designed log 2-story family beach house with vaulted ceilings & plenty of glass boasts some of the best views on the South Coast. Beds are already made for you with fresh linen so you can arrive and relax, stack the fridge, unpack the bathers and head out for a swim or relax with a good book or a cocktail on the top deck whilst taking in the sounds of the rolling waves of Middleton beach. Head down for a surf or boogie board. Stroll along the beach & breath in the fresh sea air. Middleton is a popular spot for enjoying the Encounter Bikeway – a shared, sealed coastal pathway that's at its most spectacular between Middleton and Port Elliot. During the winter season (July to October) Southern Right Whales come to the sheltered coves near Middleton to mate and calve and can be spotted from Middleton Point or Bashams Beach. Although increasingly popular as a holiday destination, Middleton's smooth, open beaches still provide the sort of natural solitude that could turn anyone into a beachcomber. It's the 'middle town' on the old railway line between Goolwa and Victor Harbor and now a thriving hamlet known for its bakery, holiday houses, bed & breakfasts, beach fishing and a rocky point that creates a good surfing break for the Southern Ocean swells. A great base to explore the surrounding towns & activities. Downstairs comprises three bedrooms, a bathroom & separate toilet along with a spacious open plan kitchen and dining area with plenty of glass & sea views. Upstairs has a large 2nd living space for family and friends to enjoy which opens onto an expansive front wrap-around deck taking in amazing sea views from Middleton across to Port Elliot and Victor Harbor and beyond - just beautiful. The large living room space encompasses a huge 7-seater lounge with a TV, bar table and chairs on a tiled space, and games and books area. A good-sized backyard awaits, half paved and half grassed to enjoy and seek refuge from the Southerly breezes. There is a large 10-seater outdoor dining table, with comfy chairs sitting under a large undercover pergola, along with a BBQ. Hero Views is a great base to enjoy the family holiday, with views from the picturesque front windows. Highlights Plenty of board games, books, and magazines to read when it's time to play or chill. You will also find an original PlayStation (1) setup to enjoy. There's is a collection of beach toys and balls here to enjoy and use during your stay A Dart Board is provided for guests to use. Outdoor cool water shower to rid yourself of beach sand and saltwater on your return home after a long day at the beach. There is a Creda Heater located in the kitchen/dining area, oldie but a goodie! Board Rack. A convenient place to store your surfboards and bodyboards and wet suits whilst you stay. The rubber-protected racks will protect your boards whilst keeping them secure Fire Pit. A large cast-iron bowl fire pit is provided. Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time at Hero Views. The house was exactly as described and photographed, and spotlessly clean and ready on arrival. Having the beds made and all linen included in the price was fantastic. The house itself was well-equipped and stocked with quality appliances and cookware, and my family of adult children loved the upstairs area for the view, playing darts, board games, watching TV and reading. The under-cover patio area out the back was protected and great for outdoor meals for a large group. Quick and easy walk to the beach. Outdoor shower helpful. Washing machine and powder much appreciated. Kate and Grace were excellent at messaging and emailing me prior to and during the stay. Super impressed. Having an air conditioner upstairs for future hot days would be my only suggestion for an overall excellent property. Thanks so much for having us! Would highly recommend.
