Location. Size. Aesthetic
Paper partitions should stay in the past. There are modern alternatives that are much better at insulating sound.

Spacious. The pillows were really good and helped for a good sleep!
I was expecting something amazing while reading the comments before booking but it was ok

Everything! It is a beautiful house, perfectly located in the old town of Kyoto. It is cozy and quiet. The staff is nice and helpful. The washing machine is outside the house and you can sleep very quiet even if it's on. We loved our stay and would definitely book it again.

This is a really beautiful home with plenty of space, comfortable beds, lots of light and cool architecture. We were able to walk to Gion, the centre and some of the temples - and buses for other parts of Kyoto are close by.
The main bathroom with shower and bathtub is very pretty, but is starting to show mold in some places and there are not enough hooks for hanging towels.
