The place is cozy and beatiful, good location, clean, well equipped kitchen, drinking water. Rooms ok,
We had quite a complicated experience with Casa Sofia.
We booked spontaneously, and because there is no reception, and the numbers at the door both are not working, we waited for one hour in the dark in front of the door until someone answered. So I wouldnt recommend if you book spontaneously and need a reception, but if not I think its ok, the person came finally and was very nice.
The person in charge said it is fine to leave our stuff after the checkout, but during that day she called us and said we have to get out our stuff immediately because of a group booking, and we cant stay at the place anymore. Her mood change and being kicked out like that didnt feel cool, so I also wouldnt recommend to stay here if you need to leave your stuff. Even if you are lucky and this is possible, you need to leave it openly in the patio, there is no room or space for luggage, which didnt feel safe.
Would I come back? Maybe, still a good option, but there are definetely better places for less money in SanCris.

The manager was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location is on a quiet side street within easy walking distance of the bus station and main attractions. The facilities are rustic but varied with good hot water, security and a laundry service. There were a small number of rooms so the space was not crowded.
There were a few minor issues that could be improved. The breakfast which was included with our booking was okay but did not include a piece of fruit. The bedroom door locked automatically so we had to leave it ajar if one of us let the premises with the key and the other person remained but left the room.

Good interaction with the owners. nice meeting place in the court. Quiet, but also close toi thé interesting parts of San Cristobal de las Casas.
It Is a simple place, which is okay because it is also cheap. But ist Is important to know gbat nights are cold in san Cristobal and so we did not Always sleep well.
