The staff were very friendly. The meals were good. The social atmosphere was wonderful as was the location so close to downtown. I had a private room which was very nice. The entire hostel has filtered water you can drink, very important in San Cristobal.
The gym area was very dirty. There was often no gluten-free option for the meals.

Great location, really social vibe but not too pushy, FANTASTIC value for money - a great happy hour, free drinks and classes on different days throughout the week. They also have free tea and coffee every day, and the water from the taps is safe to drink - which is a huge plus. The staff there were also super friendly… Pepe and Jorge deserve a particular shout out. Honestly one of our favourite hostels we’ve ever stayed in!
We stayed in a private room which was super quiet, but I think some of the shared rooms are between the two social areas which may have been a little louder, but you expect that from a hostel in my opinion.

Excellent location
Karaoke night was brilliant
Nice staff
Big room
Fruit in the room
Big comfy bed
Shower didn't work and bath plug didn't fit
No lights on the stairs up to the room and building works were unfinished all over
Room was cold and windows were draughty
Lots of random hairs found in the bathroom
