Location was phenomenal, walk out the door straight onto the piazza and the Baptistry.
The property itself was spacious, comfortable, clean and perfectly equipped. Good air conditioning provided relief from the hot Italian summer and the building elevator (just big enough for luggage) was very welcome, although only from the first floor (stairs from ground floor). Stefano was a great host and communication was very clear.
The property was somewhat noisy at night, but this is to be expected and a fair trade off given its prime location.

Stefano the host was very responsive, and kind. It was nice being on the top floor. It was a large space.
Bedding was thin and old. Shower was extremely small and the shower head needed to be replaced.

Fantastic place! Location perfect - right by the Duomo, and great for people-watching in the square. We were in the 1st floor apartment with a double room (king size bed?) that had no windows (but was quieter) and a twin bedroom (with a great view), and then a lounge/ diner / kitchenette (Fab view).
Stefano got in touch with us via WhatsApp and we had to enter information into an app but that then enabled us to just turn up on the day in our own time, access the app for a passcode to enter the front door, and then the key to the apartment was in a lock box outside the apartment, and that all went very straightforwardly.
(Beware of other WhatsApp messages claiming to be the host and never pay anything via WhatsApp - Booking.com had a leak of info and I had a very convincing spam WhatsApp that had a picture of the same view outside of the window as this location, imitating booking.com with links on a copy of the website and asking for payment.)
We really appreciated Stefano's recommendation of restaurants, gelaterias etc, with links to map location. Our top two favourites from that list were Edoardo's ice cream (two shops; near the Duomo and the Ponte Vecchio) and Osteria Tre Panche (centro storico).
Accessibility and mobility. There is one step to get in the front door, then there are about 17 steps round a L-shaped stair case to get up, then there is an elevator to the front door of the apartment (on the first floor). Lift & bathroom too narrow for wheelchairs.
There is air conditioning in each of the rooms (except the bathroom) and we found it an absolute lifesaver when we were there in a heatwave with temperatures of 38 degrees C. Extra blankets too.
When we had a brief issue with the air conditioning maxing out for a couple of minutes, Stefano was right there immediately on WhatsApp sorting it out, so we felt very looked after while we were there even though we never met him, because he was so great at communicating. Highly recommended!
We were on the first floor apartment, and there is noise (music from restaurants or street performers and occasional shouting from revellers) from the square that comes through and goes on till quite late at night (even 12/1am). We were shielded from it in the double room, but you could hear it clearly in the twin room and lounge, so come prepared with ear plugs.
The shower was great, though the knob to turn it from the overhead spray to the handheld hose was really quite stiff when we were there. The drains also smell, but I don't think that's due to lack of hygiene in the apartment, since the apartment was spotless and beautifully cleaned. It's just because it's an old Italian building, which are notorious for bad plumbing. The showers were always hot, though, which is not a given in historical Italian cities like Rome and Florence.

Staff were excellent. Room was massive with an amazing view directly onto the Duomo. The lift helped, despite small. Good having full laundry facilities.
The street area below is very noisy, often had buskers playing music directly downstairs even at midnight. Windows are not double glazed, the noise did not stop with delivery trucks and cleaning trucks all night.
