Petit Monlot - Saint-Emilion

It was like home away from home. Very quiet area, but walking distance to town. Beds very comfortable. Access to the kitchen for water, coffee, glasses cutlery etc any time. The hosts Christine and Christophe were very helpful, as we bought a lot of wine and had to package it. They presented a lovely breakfast every morning, with Christophe cooking the best French Omelette and scrambled eggs. The last night we did not feel like going to a restaurant. We sat on the terrace with some local cheese, foie gras and wine, with the most beautiful sunset. We will definitely return there if we go back to the region.

Hosts, Christine and Christophe were amazing - very helpful and knowledgeable about the wineries and restaurants. The quality of the rooms and fittings was state of the art. Would gladly return.

Everything was perfect.

Every morning, Christine and Christophe greeted us with cheery smiles and a spread set just for us of fresh juices, milk, water, cereal, coffee, warm pastries and bread, cheese, ham, yogurt, fruit, and the offer of scrambled eggs. I think we could have lived the day on just what they served us for breakfast. I'm sorry I didn't think to take pictures of the breakfasts. We felt extraordinarily welcome, and they even made the kitchen available for us to use as we wished (it came in handy when we brought home pastries from the local patisserie that Christine and Christophe recommended). They pointed out great spots in town to try and even recommended restaurants in our next destination, in a different country (which was also amazing). We can't say enough good things about our stay. The house itself is newly renovated, super clean, and located in a very quiet spot, surrounded by vineyards and pretty walking - though you will need a car or taxi to access St. Emilion. Honestly, we were sad to leave. I hope we might have reason to return.

Christine & Christophe were amazing hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them. They gave us lots of good recommendations of things to do in Saint Emilion. The property is outstanding, decorated to a high standard with lovely views all around. We really enjoyed the wine tour of the vineyard which was next to the property. Would love to return and stay for longer next time!
