The best thing about this property is the Manager, Mr Chandrakant Taru, affectionately known as 'Appa' by all. This gentleman is the manager cum caretaker, and also in charge of the restarant/ dining area. He went out of his way to take care of us, and serve us delectable, simple meals. This is a small properthy of only 4 cottages, set in a 1.8 acre plot. Another 4 cottages plus a swimming pool are currently under construction and should be ready by the end of the year, It has a garden with a couple of swings, and lots of greenery like the rest of Diveagar. The cottages are quite basic, ethnic styled,, with a small verandah and a small lawn, with AC, Geyser, clothes line, and an attached western toilet with a few toileteries. We were the only guests as this was off season. PRO TIP: The food avaiable is quite limited, and is only cooked fresh, upon order, so one has to order at least 2-3 hours in advance. Overall a good place for some peace and quiet. The popular Suvarna Ganapati Temple is a walking dstance away., and the Rupnarayan temple is a 2 minute car ride. The closest point on the Diveagar beach is a 15 minute walk, and 3-5 mins by car.
The property is owned by Dr Amit, who kept in constant touch with us to ensure that we were well taken care of.
I would rather say that these are my recommendations for improvement:
- Signage: & Entrance The entrance needs to be better, wider, and well marked with a bigger, illuminated sign at the entrance to the proiperty. Its a sharp, ninety degree turn into the property, with a very narrow gate, and a small, easy-to-miss signboard.
- Cleanliness: The bed linen- sheets, curtains, pillow cases, blankets, etc, should be fresh and clean.
- Mattress could be better, it was hard.
- There must be a tea/coffee maker in the room, with sufficient supplies.
- Maintenance :The premses looked overgrown and unkempt. The garden is not properly utilized and maintained.
- The parking area should be ample and clearly identfied, specially with the expansion.
- Roads can be cleaner, wider, and better.
- The fish pond at the entrance to each cottage had dirty water with rubbish floating..

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained. The food was delicious, with plenty of variety to suit different tastes. What truly stood out was the staff, incredibly welcoming, attentive, and always going the extra mile to make sure we felt at home. The property is perfect for families, offering a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Its location is another big plus, just a short 500m walk from Diveagar Beach. Overall, a delightful experience that we’d happily recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
