It was really quaint, decor was good and the colour throughout suited it beautifully. Felt really homely and all the rooms were a great size. It was very well equipped, with towels being included which was great but a better list on the website of what is provided would be really helpful. Even though it is a working farm It was so peaceful and relaxing with a lovely big garden.
There were a few things that just need to be replaced or fixed ie- toilet seat in adjacent room to the dining area, taps in the same room move a lot. On a personal note I don’t like feather duvets but the rest of the family were okay with them. We had a toddler with us so a stair gate at the top of the stairs would have been great, there was one at the bottom which was good but I know it was there to stop dogs going upstairs but it’s great for toddlers too. The farm walk was lovely, but the map needs updating as certain gates were locked and there were no signs/markers to follow and a couple of times we weren’t sure if we was allowed to go through certain areas. The walk isn’t suitable for buggies or wheelchairs.

Beautiful setting off the beaten track with lots to see and do nearby after a short drive or hike. An attractive period cottage sympathetically modernised and very well equipped throughout. We stayed over Christmas. Our hosts installed a Christmas tree and left us some delicious snacks and wine; much appreciated!
We struggled with the heating in the very chilly weather, especially with a baby in tow. Adjustments to the room thermostats seemed to make little difference. It would help to have written information on the pre-programmed heating schedule and how best to make changes if required. Our hosts did kindly provide a convector heater which helped keep the baby snug.
