McNever Again

The grounds, decorations, and location are pretty. However, the thinness of the walls made sleeping horrible.

Poor food and service. One of many examples was an issue regarding no regular coffee. The senior aged couple in the room upstairs drove to the store to buy regular coffee for all of us in the Inn. The following day, another guest tried to make coffee and only found pecan coffee. There were literally two blueberry muffins and some gnat covered blackberries for 5-6 people! We were beyond disappointed for the price.

Warm and welcoming property with rates better or comparable to the local hotels. Great value!

The owner, Kate, goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. The whole house and grounds are very charming and comfortable. Kate puts a lot of care into the property and it shows. I stayed for a work trip and compared the cost with others that stayed at local hotels. McTernan was less expensive and undoubtedly nicer!

If you're unfamiliar with the area, pay attention and look for the sign by the turn off to the property. I missed it a couple of times, even with navigation.

very nice location, loved the home and decor, Kate was extremely nice though we only spoke with her on the phone, did not meet anyother staff if any

had to look for towels the bathroom was not cleaned, trash was under the vanity, window sills not cleaned, bathroom rugs not clean, bedroom floors were uneven, suggest yellow stripping where the bedroom floor drops down to the bathroom floor as my husband almost fell, we both have a bad knee very hard to get in and out of the tub, shower head hard to use, not good for someone who may be handicapped as one has to step onto a stepstool and swing body over into the tub hallway floors not clean kitchen was not as cleaned as anticipated, microwave very dirty coffee pot did not work well, coffee was just warm danish needed to be covered better, natts were under the plastic wrap foods in the refrigerator belonged to other people, jelly jars were "double dipped" into, other items we had breakfast out someone on staff would be nice to have to "check in" to ensure kitchen is in better order, or any assistance for amenities when needed for the price of a three night stay, the clean up after discharge fee would have been fine except for items noted above thank you asking

I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

A beautiful, charming place. My wife and I were there with two other couples. We had the whole place to ourselves. It was awesome! A different Irish Whiskey in each room - what a concept!

Can't really think of anything to improve.

lovely home but disappointed with mix up over booking.

house, room and staff were great.

I was told my booking had been canceled, it had not and a deposit had been paid in June for an October stay if three days; was only accommodated for one night but staff were very helpful arranging another bed at another private location.

Interesting place to stay. BB with a difference, kitchen is all yours help yourself, fire pit outside make your fire and enjoy mixing with other guests. Whiskey named rooms with a bottle to try....home away from home feeling. Great would stay here again if in the area

Good location and met our needs while visiting family.

Easy access, nice outside seating with two fire pit areas, hostess was very hospitable.

Will not stay and will not book on Booking.com. Told not rooms for us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No breakfast

Owner never showed up!!!! Took over hour to get her on phone and then she yelled at employee. The lady that came up about 45 minutes tried to call, Said she was here for her daughter and they had booked two weeks ago and said no other rooms. I told her I booked back on June 6th. She did not even know how to get into the computer to look up. So I don't know if someone took my room because I had a reservation # from Booking.com We got turned away. Did not even help us find another motel. The phone numbers list went to voice mail. Had a reservation number and told us she had no room. Why are you asking about what they say about our stay when they turned us away????????

Kate's beautiful B&B is in a beautiful and serene location. We had the pleasure of meeting Kate and a few other guests and had lovely conversation. My boyfriend and i cooked an amazing meal together to share with the other couple that was also staying in the home. The home is beautiful and very cozy. We look forward to coming back! Jenn & Josh

Excellent!

My host, Katie, was on top of every detail. My flights were delayed, so I got in at 5:30 am, and she arranged for my keys to be waiting. The kitchen was stocked, so had I needed something, it was right there. Everything in the room was cozy, but the bed was simply wonderful. I could not have asked for a better stay.

Really, nothing could have been better.

The perfect choice!

The kitchen was open to all guests and well stocked. The location was a convenient 25 minutes from my workshop. The beds were perfect after 16 hours in airports & 6 hours in a car.

Located on 5 acres of land in a beautiful setting. beautifully decorated in period antiques makes it a special place to stay.

Couldn’t get in

Looked like a nice place

Made reservations on booking.com. We were very tired from traveling but a few minutes before arriving I received a call from the owner saying that she was at dinner and could not be there for an hour or so to let us on. We drove on another 15 minutes so we could rest.

we came there for business but immediately felt like we were vacation retreat.

property was absolutely gorgeous.. our room was super clean.. my wife felt like a queen for 5 nights.. so relaxing and refreshing. access to a beautiful kitchen. owner left food and treats available for guest to enjoy. very friendly host. CANT WAIT TO STAY AGAIN.

Very good

There was no breakfast served however the staff was willing to get us something that we could have for breakfast at local store. If we wanted something to cook, they would get if for us.

It would be nice if they did serve breakfast in the future. I would be more inclined to return in the future.
