Die Lodge lag für uns ideal zwischen der Panorama Route und dem Krüger Nationalpark. Die Zelte sind ansprechend in die Natur eingebettet und haben eine schöne Aussicht auf das Bergmassiv. Besonders glücklich dürfen sich Gäste des Zelts 1 schätzen, da dort noch zusätzlich der Blick über's Tal hinzukommt.
Obwohl es sich um Zelte handelt, ist aller Komfort eines normalen Hotelzimmers vorhanden. So kümmert sich auch der Zimmerservice während dem Essen um das Verschließen der Zeltfenster, schlägt das Bett auf und bereitet das Moskitonetz für die Nacht vor.
Wir hatten Halbpension dazu gebucht und fanden die Malzeiten sehr solide und gut. Das Abendmenu wurde bei der Ankunft mit uns uns besprochen.
Wir hatten eine Mountainbike Tour am Morgen gebucht. Diese startet direkt am Parkplatz, weshalb man den 20min Hin- und Rückweg zur Lodge doppelt fahren muss, um nach der Tour ein gemütliches Frühstück genießen zu Können.
Neben uns war die Lodge nur mit einem weiteren Paar belegt, weshalb sich der Aufenthalt sehr einsam anfühlte. Die Teller des Frühstücksbüffets waren vorab bereitgestellt worden und mit Frischhaltefolie bedeckt und mussten von uns erst ausgepackt werden. Frischen Produkte wie Käse, Wurst und Joghurt standen ohne Kühlung.
Das Gefühl der Einsamkeit wurde auch durch eine Ruine eines abgebrannten Zeltes nicht gerade verbessert. Wir hatten eine sehr stürmische Nacht, weshalb unser Schlaf etwas unruhiger ausgefallen ist.

The location is beautiful, and the surroundings are stunning. The place has a lot of potential, but it still has a long way to go. Staff was friendly on a surface level. The outdoor shower was nice.
It's also important to know that the parking lot is downhill from the accommodation, and it takes about 15 minutes for staff to transfer you from the rooms back to the car. The road is bumpy, but it's a nice experience.
We were asked to wait for other guests to be moved to the hotel uphill, and the day after, we were rushed to get down with a group, as they only have one car to do this.
We were asked about dietary restrictions before arriving and again at check-in, but were still offered unsuitable options for dinner. Luckily, the chef was able to change the main dish at the last minute, but then why bother asking for our preferences and restrictions beforehand?
We were also asked what time we wanted to have breakfast. We showed up on time and were then made to wait 45 minutes, which left us with almost no time to enjoy the facilities. The coffee machine didn't work either.
We understand it is a place to disconnect and relax, but the Wi-Fi they advertise was barely usable, one of the slowest we've ever encountered. There was barely any cellular connection, too. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
