Canyon Game Reserve feels truly wild, despite easy access to town. The house is beautifully and thoughtfully designed. The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating.
The stairs to the upstairs bedroom can be a bit tricky to negotiate.

The property was easy to access from the main town of Hoedspruit.
A well maintained gravel road led us to the main gate where a friendly and professional guard checked us in and welcomed us.
We felt safe the entire time we were there.
We enjoyed a visit to the Blyde river Nature reserve which is only a 15 minute drive down the valley - where we hiked to a waterfall.
The property is extremely well maintained and the house has been beautifully renovated - with carefully curated art & selected decor.
We stayed in the main upstairs bedroom which has a king sized bed as well as clean and luxurious bedding.
(and an enormous bathtub that is perched up in the trees overlooking the bush)
Overall a 10/10 experience for us and we will definitely be back.
