White Birch is a beautifully-remodeled 3-bedroom 2-bath ranch-style home on the Betsie River as it winds into Elberta, Michigan, just across the bay from Frankfort. The home is located in a private setting, backing up to the Betsie River. Shops and restaurants in Frankfort are just a short bike ride or 5 minute drive away. This home is a lovely hub for your Michigan adventures, whether you plan to relax at home, explore outside, or enjoy strolling bars, restaurants, and ice cream parlors. The home is located in a private setting, backing up to the Betsie River natural area. Shops and restaurants in the adorable town of Frankfort are just a short bike ride or 5 minute drive away. Enjoy a hike directly from the front door of the house to Elberta Dunes South Natural Area, with beautiful views of Lake Michigan. Spend time at Elberta Beach or Frankfort Beach on Lake Michigan, or venture to nearby Crystal Lake, Arcadia Dunes, or Sleeping Bear Dunes. Enjoy hiking or biking the Betsie Valley Trail, a 22 mile path connecting nearby nature areas and towns. You’ll also find canoeing, fishing, and kayaking in the area. Loved everything about this property. Cozy & loved all the furnishings. It was in a perfect location close to Frankfort, trails, breweries. There was a nice short trail head 5” from the home. Would return for another visit.

Home is recently updated and nice. Dining Room had a very nice table, though there could have been better chairs. Kitchen seemed to be adequately stocked with plates, glasses, and utensils. Beds are very firm.
There were many summer toys in the garage including several bikes.
Furnace was a bit loud.
Checkin could have been smoother, as the instructions were to contact the property manager and that she would meet us at the house. Instead, she just gave us the lock code, which could have been done in the app.

This remodeled ranch was the perfect stay for our work crew. Some owners shy away from businesses looking to house their crew but we were warmly welcomed. This is the second property our crew has rented from Agape properties (the first was in Kalkaska) both properties were managed well and lovely homes.

Nice place to relax after a day of fishing on Lake Michigan. Comfortable beds and nice hot shower. Will recommend others that are visiting the area.

Pulling into the driveway we tryed the garage door lockbox. (It was the first one we saw) That didn’t work, so we went to the front door. The home was lovely to enter, clean and up-to-date. The snacks were a bonus as it was late. The beds were excellent (loved the linens and pillows) we all slept well. Very nice to have laundry and 2 full baths. I would definitely stay again, my only complaint was the cleaning fee for one nights stay was more then expected.

Very CLEAN home with all the essentials!!
Bed (only slept in one) was extremely comfortable with quality linens. Kelly is wonderful and super informative. I highly recommend this home to any and everyone and would definitely return if ever back in the area.

The house sits on a quiet cul de sac nestled up to the Betsie River. Nice sun rises over the vegetation near the river. The house appears to have all new appliances, a total makeover including both baths and the kitchen which is open and easy to work in. It was very nice! We are hoping to return in the summer as we do love the area.

For starters, the house had no air conditioning. It did not say that it did or didn't in the property description, but I would have liked to know that it did not have A/C. We just assumed it did since it is so updated. We were there in last week of August with temps in the 70's so we managed fine, but the humidity on the rainy night was unpleasant and getting ready after a shower was warmer than I'd like. House is in very nice condition. 2 full baths was a huge bonus for the 4 of us. Kitchen is great!
After our stay we were told by local charter captain that there was a horrific crime that happened here in November of 2020. Use a simple online search and decide for yourself. While this might not deter some, I would have liked to know that before booking. I did call VRBO to ask what the required disclosure is on something like this and they told me that it isn't required.
There is an amazing hike just down the street uphill to the top of one of dunes, the view is amazing and well worth the sandy uphill climb. If you are outdoorsy and/or active make sure you do it. Loved the town of Frankfort, lots of good places to eat.
Overall we were satisfied with the stay, just disappointed at the no mention of air conditioning AND the history of the house.
