Overall ok, couple of hiccups though

The house had everything we needed for a weekend, we wouldn't choose it for a longer stay as the living room was very small. Overall ideal for the purpose.

We got a call on the day of arrival only 1.5 hours before check-in to advise that the house we booked wasn't fit for us to stay due to the previous booking and the state it was left in. So we were relocated to a house with the same amenities, though not as modern and less space in the reception rooms, only 7 minutes away from the original house. Though the call was late, Gail, the agent who called me was really very helpful in letting us choose which of the other accommodations would best suit us. Cannot fault her customer service. We are also expecting a small refund for the difference between the two properties as the one we ended up staying in was cheaper. The only other downside about the property is that there were some areas that weren't cleaned properly, crisps on the floor in one of the bedrooms, for example.

Good place to lay your head,very affordable

Parking,nearby amenities, bedding was clean

Cigarette bin full to capacity and smelt because it had got wet,left slab as you stepped out of back door was very insecure and 3 of us very nearly took a tumble, cutlery needed washing before we could use it,definitely need new cooking equipment (frying pan,wok ect)they was very old and grubby.

We were rebooked to a different property on the day we were due to arrive without any notice. We had little choice but to accept the new one offered. The new property was substantially cheaper. It was clearly student accommodation, tiny living area /kitchen with not enough chairs for people. We let them know on the first day that we were unhappy and they promised the manager would call me. No one called me as promised and I chased to no avail. Still waiting and no reply.... very poor service and they are just ignoring my emails.

Great value for groups

Clean, spacious, well decorated, quality furnishing, good for groups as 5 bedrooms, Central location for visiting the local area

Back area / parking was off putting on arrival, glass and rubbish in the parking area, garden table and chairs were dirty, I was worried until we stepped inside.

Good

The inside was absolutely lovely, Just like the pictures. It was really clean and the beds were very comfy. Having 2 bathrooms made a difference. It was spacious, there were 7 of us and we had more than enough space. It served it's purpose.

The rubbish on the driveway at the back was horrific. There was broken glass, which isn't ideal when you've got kids getting out of the car. The bins were over flowing and it was all over the drive. Pulling up and seeing babies nappies where your parking your car is disgusting. The heating was also extremely noisy throughout the night, it kept most of us awake as it would go off each hour, it was very loud banging from the pipes. The house directly opposite at the back has a man who exposed himself as we were leaving in our car, I'd just be aware of this, especially if travelling with children. The bathroom at the front of the house also had no blind which was odd. If your staying here for Alton towers it is a 40 minute drive which was annoying as we had previously read 20 minutes away.

Pleasant

Generally, the decor was very nice, there was lots of space and the house was clean. It was not as nice as the photos used online though so think these may have been taken a while ago.

On the listing it talked about parking to the front of the property as well as the driveway at the rear. The parking at the front was directly on the A34- a busy dual carriageway which we felt was not safe to leave our second car there. There was one space on the drive at the back which we used. We had to book this last minute and hadn't appreciated that it was right on a busy, fast main road. This meant it was very noisy in Bedroom 5 at the front of the property and the lounge, so was surprised no one had ever mentioned this in the reviews. My husband and I slept in Bedroom 1 in the basement on the first night and the mattress was really uncomfortable as it bowed in the middle. As we had more bedrooms than we needed we moved to Bedroom number 2 on the second night, but was unsure if the sheets had been changed as they were stained and there were hairs in the bed. We also found a pair of knickers hanging on the radiator by the headboard! What was most disappointing is the Host company YourStays asked for our feedback but then never responded. All I got was what seemed an automated reply to say there was parking on the driveway at the back of the property?!

Super house, very large, very stylish, great hosts!

Huge house, with stylish decoration on the inside, mcuh bigger than it appears on the outside, with plenty of free parking to the rear, and also on the driveway. Very comfy beds. YourStays made check in easy, and we will be sure to be back for our next job in the area!

Value for money

The location is easily accessible to all attractions we wanted to go to. It was also very spacious and comfortable for all 9 of us. Property was clean and having 2 toilets/shower was highly convenient. I set the fire alarm off making toast 🤦🏽‍♀️and hosts were quick to respond and assist!! Great property and wonderful hosts!!

A great family holiday away which was made exceptional by this property!

I had booked this house for a family trip to Alton Towers and was extremely happy with the state of the house and the facilities that it offered. It was only 25 minutes away from Alton Towers and had supermarkets only 5 minutes down the road. The house was exceptionally clean and was a true resemblance of the images on this site. The owners were easy to contact and helped with any queries or requests I had. Thank you for making our time extra special with this amazing property!
