About this cottage rental
Welcome to Serendipity! A couple's retreat. Whether you and your partner just want to relax for a weekend or stay a week, this boathouse has it all. It's just 50 mins away from St. John's, 20 minutes away from Dildo or the Irish Loop. Nestled in the most sought after cottage areas on the Avalon Peninsula, Ocean Pond- you can bring your quad, bikes, kayaks, paddle boards or snowmobile and go on an adventure on the trail way which is only minutes away. There's tons of places to hike and snowshoe too. The boathouse contains all kinds of entertainment: pool table, hockey game, karaoke, board games. At the front of the boathouse there are Adirondack chairs and a fire pit if you just want to unwind with a glass of wine and watch the fire or the water or you can sit at the fire table on the patio. In the morning you can chose from a coffee or an espresso and enjoy watching the water form the patio. If you do have to attend to work for a few minutes there is also a desk to attend to work matters. If you just want to relax and need some play time Serendipity is the place for you.

Rod and Brenda may be the most warm and welcoming hosts that we have ever had in our travels! We felt right at home in this beautiful boathouse on the water. The house itself is impeccably clean and stocked with all sorts of fun games and supplies from a pool table to a popcorn machine! We wish we could have stayed longer in this gorgeous home away from home. We loved our time there and greatly appreciated the kindness of our hosts. We did a bit of traveling and loved the central location. We agreed that this place is perfect for a lovely couples retreat where you may not plan to go anywhere too! The back porch and dock on the water let you really take in this beautiful place. We loved the decorations and aesthetic too-how often do you take pictures of the decor in a place you rent? Such a fun little gem tucked away in Newfoundland!

The hosts, Rod and Brenda are extremely friendly and helpful. The property was absolutely amazing and unique. The views were incredible and this decor was really cool. My son and I used this as a home base while we toured around. We really enjoyed this place. I'd highly recommend staying here!

Very welcoming property on the water with many amenities to enjoy. Rod & Brenda were very easy to communicate with & helpful. We would not hesitate to stay at this property again. We really enjoyed our stay.
