What a wonderful property located in Kachina Village. I stayed here with my family and my SA. Property is very unique in a busy neighborhood with friendly neighbors. The deck out front and back are very nice and great places to relax. We didn’t utilize the pit and bbq as it was a bit cold for us but was great to have that option. One thing to note is the main bedroom king is 2 twins put together. It didn’t bother me but worth noting as any middle sleepers would definitely notice. Also the downstairs bedroom to access the bathroom/main living area you have to go outside and up the deck stairs OR thru the garage area. But the great thing about the downstairs bedroom is the outdoor access. Great idea. My only con is that the big draw for me to book was the game room for my family/kids looked super fun and is amazing that the hosts had these amenities to use, however, there’s an indoor camera facing this gaming area and I was a bit uncomfortable letting my kids play alone with it there recording us. If you’re staying in the downstairs bedroom and you want to go upstairs thru the garage the camera will surely capture you as you go to the restroom. Wear clothes!! lol Otherwise it was pretty property.

The house was great. It was very clean. Everyone enjoyed the house. My only complaints were more blankets are needed on the beds than just a thin coverlet for cold flagstaff nights. it was very roomy but could use a third bathroom especially the room in the basement. We didn't use that room at all for that reason. Booking was difficult as after booking on vrbo you had to jump through several hoops on another management company site as well. They also would not communicate through vrbo like other places.

We had such an incredible time in this beautiful home. The property was so well taken care of and has everything you could possibly need. The hosts even left a little basket of treats and wine for us when we checked in. We traveled with hopes of being able to relax and play in the snow and that’s exactly what we got. I would highly recommend staying here and we hope to visit again!

It was a very nice stay! Also, it was our first time doing a family trip and staying all together for our NAU graduate. This home left us wanting us to make more trips in the near future! We felt very welcomed, everything was so nicely put together and organized, the communication with the owners was amazing we did not encounter any type of issue whatsoever. 100% recommended!!

Our family had another wonderful retreat at this cabin. This was our second visit and it was everything we expected and more. Once again the house had all the amenities we needed and could have wanted. It was so nice to be greeted with snacks and a bottle of wine when we arrived. The house is spacious, comfortable and very clean. We love the large living room with an awesome stone fireplace with gas logs and big tv with lots of program options. The open sitting/dining/kitchen area feels very cozy and a great place to spread out, relax, and enjoy family meals and activities. We really enjoyed the decks, the backyard fire pit, and shuffleboard and other games. The beds are very clean and comfortable, and the view is beautiful! We had a wonderful retreat from our everyday hustle and bustle! Mike and Tammy have totally gone the extra mile to make this cabin a relaxing and fun place to stay! Thank you Mike and Tammy for making the cabin one of our favorite destinations! We very much appreciate your exceptional hospitality!

We stayed at this rental Sept 23rd -Sept 26th. Upon checking in Friday night, we noticed a mothball smell. It was late and we were tired; we unloaded and went to find rooms to sleep in. There were three bedrooms on the main floor. Walking into the small middle bedroom (that opened to the backyard), we noticed a very strong smell. Personally, a house we owned had issues with rodents dying in the crawlspace and ductwork. This odor resembled that. We searched the room and found nothing but it smelled strongest from one of the walls. The room also had a strong chemical smell that we traced to a large Febreze plug in. The odor was so strong it also permeated a second bedroom adjacent to it. Given that it was late, we opened all the windows to air it out, emailed the owner that night and managed to find enough other beds to make do. In the morning we contacted the owner again to see what could be done – we didn’t feel like packing up and moving out since we had a short vacation and would be outside all day. The owner said they would send someone out to check the crawlspace. That night, coming back we again noticed the bedroom smell was really strong despite the windows being open all day. The owner indicated that the person did not find anything and they would give us some form of compensation. Given that we were in Flagstaff to be outdoors we decided to tough it out and not use the 2 smaller bedrooms (we had 5 people). We texted the owner photos of the bedroom wall. Sunday we left all windows open again during the day. Sunday, after talking again with the owner about this issue, they said verbally they would refund us some money and then compensate us for a future stay – and would email us details. Monday when we checked out the smell was very obvious. The mothball smell had faded. The owners gave us late check out which helped since we had a lot to pack. We went in to arrange the bed and it was nauseating. To be objective, the house appeared clean. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. We were refunded the cleaning fee which was a small portion of the overall stay. We have been with many VRBO’s and we have not had such an experience as this before. On Saturday, Oct. 1st we received an e-mail from the owner. They wrote that they had taken some further actions with respect to the smell and the room seemed OK. They offered to compensate us for a future stay at the property which we will decline given the experience, and maybe look more to hotels.
